This role may function as a Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager depending on experience, project needs, and location. The position supports modernization efforts for facilities including office buildings, laboratories, utilities, and mission-critical infrastructure, all within a highly regulated, government-operated environment. This role offers the opportunity to manage large-scale projects from planning through execution in a stable setting with limited travel.\nResponsibilities\nLead multidisciplinary teams through the full lifecycle of capital, facility, laboratory, office, and infrastructure projects\nDefine project scope, develop execution strategies, and establish cost, schedule, procurement, and resource plans\nAdapt project strategies to evolving budgets and government funding cycles\nGuide projects through internal governance and government approval processes, including preparation of decision packages and submittals\nCoordinate across engineering, construction, procurement, finance, operations, sponsors, and oversight stakeholders\nOversee general contractor and subcontractor execution in a highly regulated environment\nIdentify and mitigate risks related to scope changes, budget constraints, and existing infrastructure challenges\nCapture lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement of project execution practices\n\nQualifications\nMust have active DOE L clearance or a DoD secret clearance to be considered.\nAbility to lead multidisciplinary teams across the full project lifecycle\nExperience defining project scope, execution strategies, and developing cost, schedule, procurement, and resource plans\nExperience managing projects within evolving budgets and government funding cycles\nExperience navigating formal governance and approval processes, including preparation of decision documentation\nAbility to coordinate across cross-functional teams and stakeholders\nExperience overseeing contractors and subcontractors in regulated environments\nAbility to identify, assess, and mitigate project risks\nPotential for telework up to 20%.\nDesired:\nAbility to lead teams through complex constraints within structured regulatory frameworks\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nSound judgment in managing changing budgets, priorities, and approval processes\nAbility to solve practical infrastructure and facility challenges on active sites\nLeadership presence with ability to align matrixed teams\nStrong ownership mindset with demonstrated follow-through\nExperience delivering capital projects within complex campuses, industrial sites, or government facilities\nExperience with office buildings, laboratory facilities, utilities, and infrastructure projects\nFamiliarity with formal approval and funding processes\nExperience in contractor and subcontractor management\nExperience with cost estimating, scheduling, procurement planning, and change control\nPay Scale:\n0-9 years of experience - $120,000-$127,000\n10+ years of experience - $128,000-$145,000\nSalary Range\nUSD $120,000.00 - USD $145,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
