This pipeline opportunity is intended to identify highly experienced candidates to support the development, enhancement, and operations & maintenance (O&M) of systems and initiatives focused on streamlining operations, automating processes, and aligning solutions to enterprise digital architecture. Selected candidates will be considered for future openings aligned to mission and technology modernization priorities.\nResponsibilities\nThe ideal Expert Applications Developer will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following tasks:\nDevelop software applications as web services using Java, Node JS, Angular with Typescript, Springboot with Hibernate, and messaging, as directed by the sponsor.\n\nDevelop and maintain software applications as web services interacting with data stored in Postgres, MySQL, and other relational databases and/or Cloud technologies like AWS.\n\nDevelop, upgrade, and maintain APIs and search services with REST-like APIs to communicate with other software applications and databases.\n\nUtilize XML, JSON, or other Sponsor standards for data transfer and metadata management.\n\nWrite SQL queries to interact with databases.\n\nImprove search and website usability and accessibility by leveraging enterprise capabilities.\n\nCollaborate with business analysts, UX designers, and other developers to understand project requirements and translate them into technical solutions.\n\nOptimize application performance, ensuring scalability and security.\n\nTroubleshoot and resolve software defects, ensuring a high level of quality and reliability.\n\nParticipate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.\n\nStay updated with emerging technologies and recommend enhancements to existing applications.\n\nQualifications\nRequired:\nAn active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (preferrably from this client).\n\n10+ years of related application development experience, with an emphasis on leading engineering efforts across the application stack.\nExperience in Java, Python, and front-end development using Angular.\n\nFamiliarity with relational databases such as Postgres, MySQL, and/or Cloud technologies like AWS.\n\nExperience in API development and working with REST-like APIs.\n\nExperience writing SQL queries.\n\nAbility to collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into technical solutions.\n\nExperience in troubleshooting and resolving software defects.\n\nExperience in an Agile environment.\n\nDesired:\nExperience with Microservices architecture.\n\nFamiliarity with source code management and integration tools like GitHub/GitLab, Jenkins.\n\nKnowledge of best practices for coding, testing, and deployment.\n\nExperience in improving search and website usability/accessibility.\n\nAbility to recommend technological improvements to existing processes and applications.\n\nSalary Range\nUSD $170,000.00 - USD $195,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
