This position will design, develop, integrate, test, deploy, and maintain mission-focused software applications across Sponsor networks and cloud environments. The Software Engineer will work throughout the full Agile software development lifecycle, supporting application enhancements, software integrations, APIs, reusable libraries, testing, and operational reliability.\nResponsibilities\nDevelop and modify application source code in response to new requirements and requests for change.\nProvide application bug fixes, enhancements, and Graphical User Interface (GUI) improvements to meet operational requirements.\nDevelop and deploy software applications across Sponsor environments, including cloud-based environments.\nDesign and develop Representational State Transfer (REST) APIs.\nIntegrate externally developed code into core software libraries.\nInstall and configure application software.\nEvaluate third-party vendors and software partners.\nMaintain the design and architecture of software libraries, including module APIs, code organization, and compliance with established coding standards.\nEmphasize modularity, reusable code, clean interfaces between subsystems, and overall design integrity.\nCoordinate with configuration management personnel to integrate externally developed software into core software libraries.\nDevelop a wide range of software for deployment on Sponsor networks.\nDevelop and support software libraries involving technologies such as audio/video, image-processing algorithms, operating systems and file systems, and device drivers.\nAssist the Sponsor in developing standards, methods, and procedures for determining product quality, release readiness, and software acceptance.\nConduct testing throughout all levels of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).\nPerform regression testing and adhere to established testing procedures.\nSupport Agile software development practices throughout the full application lifecycle.\nTrack and manage software issues using tools such as JIRA.\nProvide metrics on software availability and reliability during monthly status reviews.\nQualifications\nRequired:\nAn Active TS/SCI with a FS Polygraph is required to be considered.\nBachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or another related scientific or technical discipline.\nMinimum of 2 years of software engineering experience within the last 5 years.\nDemonstrated experience with at least 3 of the following technologies:.NET.\nVisual Basic.\nJava.\nJavaScript.\nTomcat.\nSQL.\nXML.\nPython.\nHTML.\nLDAP certificates.\nApache.\nRuby.\n\nCollectively, the team must demonstrate experience across all of the technologies listed above.\nDemonstrated experience supporting full-lifecycle Agile software development projects.\nDemonstrated experience with software issue-tracking tools such as JIRA.\nDesired:\nDemonstrated experience developing Android applications.\nDemonstrated experience designing, developing, and maintaining applications within AWS/Sponsor cloud computing environments.\nWorking knowledge of GIS software, including Google Maps and Google Earth.\nDemonstrated experience with Continuous Software Development and Software Integration best practices.\nExperience working with Information Security (INFOSEC) and Information Assurance (IA) policies, including ICD 503, to support system security and data integrity.\nDemonstrated experience implementing the complete DevOps lifecycle, including:Build pipeline integration.\nAutomated deployments.\nCompliance scanning.\nTest-driven development.\n\nSalary Range\nUSD $140,000.00 - USD $170,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
