This position will develop, engineer, integrate, and deploy technical solutions within a dedicated mission network, working as part of a small, mission-focused team of network and systems engineers. The Network Engineer will focus on scalable virtualization and infrastructure solutions, systems integration, lifecycle management, network monitoring, and solving complex collaboration and data-protection challenges.\nNOTE: This position requires infrequent CONUS travel to various sites, as directed by the client.\nResponsibilities\nDevelop robust, scalable IT and network solutions within a dedicated mission environment.\nDesign and build virtualization platforms and associated infrastructure systems.\nEngineer technical solutions addressing complex collaboration and data-protection requirements.\nIntegrate, test, and deploy systems into mission environments.\nPerform full lifecycle management of systems, including building, deployment, maintenance, and sustainment.\nMonitor mission networks and identify technical or operational issues.\nImplement IT and cybersecurity best practices across network and systems environments.\nSupport highly available infrastructure and apply appropriate deployment and implementation concepts.\nAnalyze complex technical situations, determine appropriate courses of action, and respond effectively when problems arise.\nWork independently and collaboratively within a small team of network and systems engineers.\nMaintain current technical training and tradecraft as technologies and mission requirements evolve.\nShare technical knowledge and expertise with other engineers and team members.\nQualifications\nRequired:\nAn active TS/SCI with an FSP (Preferably from this client) is required to be considered.\nBachelor’s degree related to the technical discipline and at least 6 years of relevant experience; ORAssociate’s degree and at least 8 years of relevant experience; OR\nNo degree and at least 10 years of relevant experience.\n\nRecent hands-on experience, within the last 3 years, with Nutanix virtualization technologies.\nRecent hands-on experience, within the last 3 years, with directory services technologies such as Active Directory and LDAP.\nRecent hands-on experience, within the last 3 years, with network and application load balancers.\nHands-on experience implementing IT and cybersecurity best practices.\nDemonstrated understanding of high-availability technologies and associated implementation and deployment concepts.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical environments.\nStrong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.\nWillingness and ability to travel on an infrequent, as-needed basis, primarily CONUS.\nDesired:\nExperience designing, building, deploying, and maintaining sensitive networks.\nExperience supporting web-hosting platforms such as Microsoft IIS, Apache, and Tomcat.\nExperience with database technologies such as MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.\nExperience building, deploying, and maintaining Citrix Application Delivery Controllers (ADCs).\nExperience with scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Python.\nExperience with SIEM and security analytics technologies, such as Splunk, packet capture (PCAP), and NetFlow.\nSalary Range\nUSD $150,000.00 - USD $180,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
