This position will design, develop, troubleshoot, and enhance complex software applications supporting mission-focused targeting capabilities. The Software Developer will work closely with end users, stakeholders, and an Agile development team to build scalable solutions, maintain highly technical data, and improve system performance and distributed processing capabilities.\nResponsibilities\nSupport a development team responsible for maintaining and enhancing targeting applications.\nDesign, develop, troubleshoot, and debug complex software applications.\nDevelop innovative solutions that improve system performance, scalability, and distributed processing capabilities.\nTrack and maintain highly technical data used to support analytical and troubleshooting activities.\nCollaborate with team members to retain and leverage technical information for ongoing development efforts.\nCommunicate with developers, stakeholders, and end users to clarify requirements and resolve technical obstacles.\nDevelop and maintain full-stack software solutions.\nSupport backend application development and the creation and integration of APIs.\nDevelop and deploy applications within cloud-based and virtualized environments.\nEngage with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document application requirements.\nParticipate in development activities using Agile software development methodologies.\nCollaborate effectively within a team environment to achieve technical and mission objectives.\nMaintain current technical training and tradecraft as software technologies and development practices evolve.\nShare technical knowledge and expertise with other members of the development team.\nQualifications\nRequired:\nAn Active TS/SCI with an FSP (preferrably from this client) is required to be considered.\nBachelor’s degree related to the technical discipline and at least 6 years of relevant experience; ORAssociate’s degree and at least 8 years of relevant experience; OR\nNo degree and at least 10 years of relevant experience.\n\nAt least 2 years of full-stack software development experience.\nAt least 2 years of experience developing applications using Node.js.\nAt least 2 years of backend development and API development experience.\nAt least 1 year of experience deploying applications within cloud-based or virtualized environments, such as AWS, Azure, VMware, Docker, or Kubernetes.\nAt least 2 years of experience engaging with stakeholders to gather and document requirements.\nAt least 2 years of experience developing applications within an Agile environment.\nStrong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with developers, stakeholders, and end users.\nDesired:\nStrong understanding of internet protocols and networking technologies used by Internet Service Providers to provision networks, including MPLS and Ethernet VLANs.\nUnderstanding of modern JavaScript frameworks, such as Vue, Angular, or React.\nPrior experience effectively serving as a Scrum Master.\nSalary Range\nUSD $180,000.00 - USD $220,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
