This role designs and maintains Java-based applications, ETL workflows, and data transformation services that curate and deliver enterprise data for analytical use. Working within a collaborative Agile environment, the role supports modern analytics frameworks, enterprise data integration, and AI-assisted software development to accelerate mission capabilities and engineering efficiency.\nResponsibilities\nDesign, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.\nDevelop and support ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes that curate and transform enterprise data for mission applications.\nBuild and maintain analytics supporting GhostMachine Portable Map Reduce (PMR) frameworks.\nDevelop and support enterprise data flows using Apache NiFi and related data integration technologies.\nSupport data ingestion, transformation, validation, and delivery to ensure data quality and operational reliability.\nCollaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to design, test, deploy, and maintain production software solutions.\nParticipate in the AVP process and coordinate with AVG stakeholders to support mission requirements.\nUtilize GitLab and the Atlassian tool suite to support source control, issue tracking, documentation, and Agile development activities.\nLeverage AI-assisted development tools, including Claude Code, to improve software development efficiency and engineering workflows.\nTroubleshoot application, data processing, and integration issues while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications\nActive TS/SCI w/ Polygraph with this Customer. \nBachelor's degree and 7 years of software engineering experience.\nExperience developing applications using Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.\nExperience developing or supporting ETL processes and enterprise data integration workflows.\nExperience with Apache NiFi or comparable enterprise data flow technologies.\nExperience working with GitLab and the Atlassian tool suite, including Jira and Confluence.\nExperience working in Agile software development environments.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.\nDesired Qualifications\nExperience with GhostMachine analytics and Portable Map Reduce (PMR) frameworks.\nFamiliarity with the AVP process and supporting AVG mission activities.\nExperience supporting enterprise knowledge management or data curation initiatives.\nExperience leveraging AI-assisted software development tools, including Claude Code.\nExperience supporting Intelligence Community data analytics or mission systems.\nSalary Range\nUSD $155,000.00 - USD $165,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
