This pipeline opportunity is intended to identify experienced professionals to oversee the planning, prioritization, renovation, and sustainment of Defense Attaché Offices (DAOs) and diplomatic facilities worldwide. Selected candidates will be considered for future openings requiring expertise in overseas facility management, construction project coordination, strategic planning, and collaboration with government agencies to ensure projects meet mission requirements, security standards, schedules, and budgets.\nResponsibilities\nManage DAO sustainment, renovation, and facility improvement projects from initiation through construction and financial closeout.\nAssess facility conditions, prioritize project requirements, and conduct international site visits to support planning and execution.\nDevelop scopes of work, preliminary designs, project schedules, and cost estimates in coordination with government stakeholders.\nCoordinate with Department of State Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO), Diplomatic Security (DS), Defense Attaché Service (DAS), and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE).\nLead multidisciplinary teams, monitor construction progress, resolve project issues, and ensure compliance with applicable requirements.\nPrepare project status reports, financial documentation, leadership briefings, and Facility Engineering Review Board (FERB) submissions.\nMaintain project cost tracking, audit records, and required construction closeout documentation.\nIdentify facility deficiencies, project risks, and opportunities for improvement to support long-term sustainment planning.\nQualifications\nActive TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph required\nBachelor's degree required\n10+ years of experience managing complex projects, including U.S. Embassy facilities\nExperience managing construction, renovation, or facility sustainment projects through completion\nExperience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and coordinating with government agencies and contractors\nKnowledge of construction drawings, specifications, project scheduling, and cost management\nFamiliarity with U.S. Embassy operations and overseas construction requirements\nProficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project\nStrong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills\nAbility to travel internationally, including within the CENTCOM area of responsibility, approximately one week per month\nDesired:\nExperience applying ICD-705 and/or Department of State Overseas Security Policy Board (OSPB) standards\nInterior Design degree with NCIDQ certification\nExperience with facility renovations and secure shipping requirements\nProject Management Professional (PMP) certification\nExperience supporting overseas diplomatic facility modernization and sustainment projects\nSalary Range\nUSD $130,000.00 - USD $150,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
