These positions focus on developing, integrating, maintaining, and optimizing mission-critical software systems and infrastructure using Python, Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm. Engineers will collaborate with technical teams and customer stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions, troubleshoot complex systems, and support mission operations.\nResponsibilities\nDesign, develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems and applications based on mission requirements.\n\nDevelop and support containerized applications and infrastructure using Python, Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm.\n\nAnalyze system requirements and contribute to software design, architecture, integration, and performance optimization.\n\nDevelop, test, and integrate software components while ensuring compliance with technical and operational requirements.\n\nTroubleshoot software defects, system performance issues, and integration challenges.\n\nSupport system engineering activities, including requirements analysis, system design, integration, testing, and documentation.\n\nEvaluate hardware and software tradeoffs, software reuse, and integration of commercial and government solutions.\n\nDevelop and maintain technical documentation, test procedures, and system configuration records.\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and provide direct technical support to customer stakeholders.\n\nIdentify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and enhanced system reliability.\n\nQualifications\nActive TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph completed within the last 5 years required.\n\n5+ years of experience with Python, Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm required for Level 1 & 2.\n\nStrong software development, systems integration, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.\n\nAbility to work independently, take initiative, and provide direct customer support.\n\nExperience supporting software or systems engineering programs of similar scope and complexity.\n\nEducation and Experience Requirements\n-Systems Engineer Level 1-Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field-7+ years\n-Systems Engineer Level 2-Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field\n14+ years\nDegree Substitutions: Four additional years of relevant system engineering experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree.\nDesired Qualifications\nExperience supporting Intelligence Community or DoD mission systems.\n\nExperience with container orchestration, automation, and distributed computing environments.\n\nFamiliarity with cloud-native architectures, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.\n\nExperience integrating commercial and government software solutions.\n\nStrong technical communication, documentation, and customer engagement skills.\n\nSalary Range\nUSD $120,000.00 - USD $145,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
