This role is responsible for requirements analysis, system architecture, technical planning, integration, verification, and risk management to ensure mission capabilities are delivered in accordance with customer objectives and Department of Defense standards. Working within a multidisciplinary engineering environment, the Systems Engineer provides technical leadership supporting the development, modernization, and sustainment of enterprise systems.\nResponsibilities\nLead systems engineering activities throughout the system development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, architecture, integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment.\nDevelop, analyze, and manage system, functional, and derived requirements to ensure alignment with mission objectives and technical architectures.\nDevelop and maintain systems engineering documentation, including Systems Engineering Plans (SEPs), Requirements Specifications, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), Initial Capabilities Documents (ICDs), and related technical artifacts.\nDevelop system architectures and engineering solutions using Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF), Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), and other applicable engineering standards.\nParticipate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to evaluate requirements, develop technical solutions, and support system design decisions.\nCoordinate Configuration Control Board (CCB) activities, engineering reviews, and cross-functional technical action items.\nDevelop interface definitions and maintain interface control documentation throughout the system lifecycle.\nSupport verification and validation planning, systems integration, test planning, and certification activities to ensure compliance with customer requirements.\nPerform technical risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies supporting program execution and system performance.\nSupport development of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Integrated Master Plans (IMP), engineering schedules, and technical roadmaps.\nDevelop operational concepts, system threads, and end-to-end functional analyses supporting mission capabilities.\nCollaborate with Government customers, software developers, systems engineers, and program leadership to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable mission systems.\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications\nActive TS/SCI w/ Polygraph with this Customer. \nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline and 14+ years of systems engineering experience.\nActive IAT Level II (DoD 8570/8140 compliant) certification (e.g., Security+).\nExperience developing and managing system, functional, and derived requirements throughout the system lifecycle.\nExperience developing system architectures using DoDAF, SOA, or comparable enterprise architecture frameworks.\nExperience with systems integration, verification, validation, and configuration management processes.\nExperience developing systems engineering documentation, including SEPs, ICDs, Interface Control Documents, and technical specifications.\nExperience supporting Configuration Control Boards (CCBs), design reviews, and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).\nExperience performing technical risk management, requirements traceability, and systems analysis.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nWillingness to travel as required.\nDesired Qualifications\nExperience supporting Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) documentation.\nExperience supporting DoD Certification and Accreditation (C&A) or Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities.\nExperience performing reliability, maintainability, survivability, or other non-functional systems analyses.\nExperience supporting large-scale Intelligence Community or Department of Defense systems engineering programs.\nSalary Range\nUSD $165,000.00 - USD $175,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
