The candidate must demonstrate a good working knowledge of plumbing, pneumatics, hydraulics, and other skills necessary to perform the job. Must be able to perform this tier level with minimal supervision.Overall Responsibilities:\nThe list below highlights the essential job responsibilities but is not an all-inclusive list.\nMust have hand tools, approved multimeter, and toolbox.\nPerforms daily checks to identify and address potential mechanical issues.\nHelps other Maintenance Techs as directed by Group Leader or Maintenance Manager.\nPerforms established PM (Preventive Maintenance) procedures on machinery and equipment as directed.\nHelp establish maintenance and PM procedures to better maintain mechanical and electrical systems.\nPerformance maintenance and troubleshoots equipment as needed following proper LOTO procedures.\nRepairs and rebuilds hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical components.\nInstalls and connects electrical fixtures, molds, and equipment, ensuring proper plumbing and wiring for safe and efficient operation.\nEvaluates equipment to determine necessary repairs or part replacements and collaborates with Group Leader or Maintenance Manager to ensure timely procurement of replacement parts.\nUtilizes maintenance management system to track daily activities, close workorders, track time, etc.\nEnsure proper care is taken for all maintenance equipment.\nCan proficiently perform machine PM to increase machine reliability.\nMeticulously documents preventative maintenance activities in maintenance management system (Adheres to established safety protocols and best practices, including service dates, replacement information, and keeping accurate records.\nParticipate in team meetings to discuss strategies on how best to maintain machinery & keep it working at optimal levels during peak season periods.\nNotifies the supervisor of any faulty equipment or mechanical condition and enters it into the CMMS system.\nMaintains good housekeeping in the maintenance shop and follows 5S system.\nAlways wears proper PPE and always works safe in all areas.\nMust be willing to train level 1 maintenance techs to next level.\nOther duties as assigned by your manager or the Group Lead.\nQualifications, Skills, Competencies:\nDemonstrates ability to work independently and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision.\nAbility to perform tasks requiring critical thinking.\nCommitted to continuous learning and professional development.\nDemonstrates strong mechanical and electrical expertise in equipment installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.\nEffectively assesses and prioritizes equipment issues to ensure timely resolution and minimize downtime.\nDemonstrates strong communication skills, professionalism, and effective time management to meet organizational goals.\nAdheres to established safety protocols and best practices.\nEducation/Experience:\nRequires 3-5 years of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance or a technical degree in a mechanical discipline combined with 3 plus years of industrial maintenance experience.\nFocus on Electrical Technology a plus.\nLOTO and Arc Flash training a plus.\nPrevious Forklift and Fall Protection training required.\nPhysical Demands:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
