This role ensures work areas, restrooms, offices, and common spaces meet Adalet’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and compliance. The Custodian plays a key part in creating a positive work environment by supporting facility upkeep, waste removal, and basic maintenance tasks.Essential Duties:\nMaintain cleanliness of production areas, offices, restrooms, breakrooms, and common spaces throughout the facility.\nPerform routine sweeping, mopping, dusting, and surface sanitizing to support a safe and organized workplace.\nEmpty trash and recycling containers across all departments and ensure proper disposal.\nRestock supplies such as paper products, soap, and cleaning materials in designated areas.\nClean and maintain cafeteria and locker room areas, ensuring they remain orderly and hygienic.\nSupport floor care needs, including scrubbing, buffing, deep cleaning and spill cleanup as required. Ability to operate cleaning equipment (vacuum floor scrubbers, riding scrubbers, etc.) as required.\nAssist with basic facility upkeep such as replacing light bulbs, reporting maintenance needs, and supporting minor repairs.\nFollow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and chemical-handling guidelines.\nCollaborate with Facilities, Safety, and Operations teams to support special cleaning projects or seasonal needs. Perform cleaning and other tasks on facility grounds (outside building)\nMaintain cleaning equipment and report any issues promptly.\nAssist Maintenance staff with facility projects (painting, set-up of storage equipment, etc.) \nOther assigned duties\nEducation and Experience:\nPrevious custodial, janitorial, or facility cleaning experience preferred, especially in an industrial or manufacturing environment.\nComfortable working on feet for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.\nAbility to work independently and manage time effectively.\nReliable, punctual, and able to follow established cleaning schedules.\nKnowledge and Skills:\nFacility Cleaning Practices: Understanding of industrial cleaning methods, equipment, and safe chemical use.\nSafety Awareness: Knowledge of OSHA guidelines, PPE requirements, and safe handling of cleaning agents.\nTime Management: Ability to follow a cleaning schedule, prioritize tasks, and complete work with minimal supervision.\nAttention to Detail: Strong ability to maintain cleanliness standards across production, office, and common areas.\nEquipment Operation: Basic skill in using floor scrubbers, buffers, vacuums, and other custodial tools.\nCommunication Skills: Ability to communicate needs, report maintenance issues, and collaborate with Facilities and Operations teams.\nProblem-Solving: Ability to identify cleanliness or safety concerns and take appropriate action or escalate.\nFollowing receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processesas permitted or required by applicable law.\nWe are an equal opportunity employer, and all applicants will be considered for employment without attention to their membership in any protected class.
