The position collaborates with Inventory Control and warehouse teams to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and support continuous improvement initiativesSPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES\n1.\nAudit work-in-process and finished-goods inventory to verify accurate labels, bin locations, quantities, and item descriptions.\n2.\nHelp minimize obsolete inventory by maintaining inventory accuracy and coordinating the disposition of excess materials.\n3.\nPrepare reports that identify inventory discrepancies, summarize findings, and recommend corrective actions to the Inventory Control team.\n4.\nConduct root-cause analyses to identify the causes of inventory discrepancies and the process areas requiring corrective action.\n5.\nParticipate in corrective-action discussions and assist with implementing improved methods and procedures.\n6.\nAdminister the cycle-count program in accordance with the schedule established by the Inventory Manager, and report results consistently to promote timely resolution of discrepancies.\n7.\nPromote the accurate use of handheld barcode scanners and support their implementation in additional inventory-control areas.\n8.\nContribute to Lean initiatives that improve inventory accuracy, reduce inventory levels, and increase inventory turns.\n9.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements on the warehouse floor.\nSTANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE\n1.\nWork independently and consistently meet established deadlines.\n2.\nAbility to work efficiently and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.\n3.\nRemain on schedule and meet company requirements for completing all required inventory counts accurately and on time.\n4.\nCollaborate effectively with employees across departments.\n5.\nPerform all assigned tasks safely, accurately, and productively.\n6.\nFollow and actively support all warehouse safety programs and procedures.\n7.\nMaintain accuracy when working with part numbers, bin locations, and quantities.\n8.\nComplete inventory transactions accurately and consistently in the system.\n9.\nDemonstrate strong attention to detail and maintain established quality standards.\nSKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS\n1.\nDemonstrated computer proficiency, including accurate data entry, data analysis, inventory-system transactions, and working proficiency in Microsoft Excel.\n2.\nProficiency in basic mathematics, including calculations related to inventory quantities, variances, and adjustments.\n3.\nCommunicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with employees across departments.\n4.\nAbility to prioritize multiple assignments and meet competing deadlines.\n5.\nAt least three years of cycle-counting experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.\n6.\nUnderstanding of the financial impact of inventory adjustments.\n7.\nCurrent forklift and cherry-picker certification, or the ability to obtain certification within the required training period, with demonstrated commitment to safe equipment operation.\nFollowing receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processesas permitted or required by applicable law.\nWe are an equal opportunity employer, and all applicants will be considered for employment without attention to their membership in any protected class.
