Negotiates with government agencies and obtains environmental permits. Maintains safety equipment inventory, performs periodic safety inspections, monitors hazardous waste removal vendors, and may assist in consolidating hazardous wastes (chemical, radioactive, and/or medical). Monitors environmental compliance and maintains liaison with appropriate regulatory agencies. Provides environmental expertise on large, complex projects. Role typically requires more than 12 years of experience.\nMain Responsibilities\nDefine and implement sustainability strategies (emissions, energy, water, and waste reduction) per plant in collaboration with the Leadership Team\nEnsure compliance with environmental and energy legal requirements, including permits, reports, and operational conditions.\nGuarantee compliance with federal, state, and municipal regulations aligned with international best practices.\nSupport inspections, visits, and audits from environmental government authorities (Federal, State and City).\nDevelop and implement internal audit systems focused on environment and sustainability.\nEnsure compliance with environmental federal U.S. standards (EPA) and state-specific requirements (TCEQ).\nEnsure compliance with international standards such as ISO 1400.\nCoordinate environmental and energy training programs with local HR.\nMonitor and report environmental KPIs (waste, water, energy consumption, and compliance).\nIdentify environmental impacts, risks, and opportunities to drive continuous improvement initiatives.\nImplement technical and administrative controls, including environmental emergency response systems.\nExecute sustainability projects from CAPEX request through full implementation\nBenefits\nWe support your well-being with comprehensive and easy-to-use benefits that you’ll be eligible to enroll in on your first day of employment.
