We have been manufacturing anchoring products for safety critical applications for more than 56 years and they are now used in more than 82 countries around the world for over 100 million fixing and anchoring applications each year.The Site Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all site equipment, machinery, building services, and infrastructure are maintained to a high standard, supporting safe, reliable, and efficient operations. The role involves carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), responding to equipment breakdowns, diagnosing faults, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to maximise equipment availability and minimise downtime.\nKey Responsibilities\nCarry out planned preventative maintenance in accordance with maintenance schedules.\nRespond promptly to equipment breakdowns and carry out effective fault diagnosis and repairs.\nMaintain production machinery, mechanical systems, electrical systems, utilities, and site infrastructure.\nInstall, commission, and test new equipment and machinery.\nEnsure all maintenance work complies with health and safety legislation and company procedures.\nComplete maintenance records, job sheets.\nLiaise with production teams to minimise operational disruption during maintenance activities.\nSupport contractors working on site and ensure work is completed safely and to the required standard.\nIdentify opportunities for continuous improvement to improve equipment reliability and reduce maintenance costs.\nAssist with root cause analysis of recurring equipment failures.\nMaintain appropriate stock levels of spare parts and report shortages.\nEnsure housekeeping standards are maintained within workshops and plant areas.\nParticipate in risk assessments, method statements, and permit-to-work systems.\nHealth, Safety & Environmental Responsibilities\nWork safely and promote a positive safety culture.\nFollow all company health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures.\nUse appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).\nReport hazards, near misses, and incidents promptly.\nEnsure equipment is isolated and locked off before maintenance activities.\nComply with relevant legislation and site standards.\nSkills and Experience\nEssential\nExperience in a maintenance engineering role within manufacturing, industrial, facilities, or commercial environments.\nStrong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.\nKnowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance.\nWelding and fabrication experience.\nAbility to operate workshop equipment.\nExperience working with preventative maintenance systems.\nAbility to read engineering drawings and technical documentation.\nGood communication and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nDesirable\nMulti-skilled engineer (mechanical and electrical).\nExperience with PLC fault finding.\nExperience using Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).\nIPAF, PASMA, forklift, or MEWP certification.\nKnowledge of compressed air, pumps, and building services.\nQualifications\nNVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, BTEC, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Maintenance Engineering.\n18th Edition Wiring Regulations (for electrical engineers).\nIOSH Working Safely or equivalent (desirable).\nFollowing receipt of a conditional offer of employment,
