This position will play a critical role in the startup of a new aluminum extrusion production facility, leading equipment installation, commissioning, process validation, and production launch activities. The Manufacturing Engineer will work cross-functionally with production, maintenance, quality, engineering, and external suppliers to establish robust manufacturing systems, drive continuous improvement, and support the successful growth of the operation.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nAnalyze manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improved productivity, quality, safety, and cost reduction.\nDevelop and implement process improvements using Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.\nEstablish and maintain manufacturing standards, work instructions, and operating procedures.\nTroubleshoot process, equipment, and quality-related issues.\nLead equipment installation, commissioning, and startup activities.\nCoordinate Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) for new equipment.\nDevelop equipment specifications and evaluate vendor proposals.\nManage project timelines, budgets, and contractor activities.\nIdentify workplace hazards and implement engineering controls.\nEnsure equipment and processes comply with applicable safety standards and regulations.\nCreate and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and engineering standards.\nDevelop and update process flow diagrams, layouts, and production specifications.\nTrain production and maintenance personnel on new equipment and manufacturing processes.\nMaintain accurate engineering records and project documentation.\nQualifications\nEducation\nBachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering discipline.\nEquivalent combination of education and manufacturing experience may be considered.\nExperience\n2-5 years of manufacturing engineering experience preferred.\nExperience managing capital projects and process improvement initiatives.\nKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools.\nTechnical Skills\nStrong understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment.\nProficiency with CAD software and Microsoft Office applications.\nExperience with PLC platforms is preferred such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, or similar.\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to walk production floors and manufacturing areas regularly.\nAbility to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.\nAbility to work around industrial equipment and manufacturing processes.\nAbility to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).\nPay Range:\n60,800.00 - 91,200.00We offer a comprehensive benefits package that may include medical, dental, vision, 401k matching, and more!\nFollowing receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processesas permitted or required by applicable law.\nWe are an equal opportunity employer, and all applicants will be considered for employment without attention to their membership in any protected class.
