We’recommitted to making a positive impact on the world, providing you with diverse learning and working opportunities, and fostering a culture where everyone’sempowered to be their best.\nThis position manages the overall cost accounting and inventory function for the East Granby and Seymour facilities, including conducting physical inventories and performing detailed financial analysis in support of inventory management.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nMonitor and analyze inventory adjustments and write-offs to ensure accuracy, proper authorization, and compliance with company policies.\nDevelop and prepare raw material standard costs in collaboration with the Engineering and Procurement teams.\nLoad and maintain the integrity of standard costs within the ERP system.\nDevelop methods to value inventory and maintain the integrity of all inventory records.\nReview and record daily inventory transactions in the General Ledger.\nReconcile the General Ledger to the Stock Status Report on a monthly basis.\nReview and explain variances and implement corrective actions where applicable.\nConduct physical inventories, reconcile counts to the General Ledger and detailed inventory records, and accurately record all fluctuations.\nCommunicate inventory fluctuations to the appropriate levels within the organization.\nPrepare and/or oversee daily scrap reporting.\nReconcile scrap reclaim activity with outside scrap vendors.\nSupport reserves for Excess and Obsolete inventory in accordance with corporate policies.\nAssist in maintaining the integrity of the labor and overhead reporting model to ensure proper matching of expenses with direct material inventory.\nEnsure compliance with Standard Practice Instructions and Sarbanes-Oxley internal controls across all areas of responsibility.\nSupport maintenance of the FIFO/LIFO reporting model for proper monthly inventory valuation, including annual LIFOPro submissions for Tax Package reporting to Marmon.\nCoordinate, record, and maintain records for the cycle count program.\nPrepare analyses to assist senior management in decisions affecting product pricing and profitability.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and implementing process efficiencies.\nPartner with manufacturing teams to provide reporting and analysis that support operational decision-making on the shop floor.\nWork with Spec Engineering to support costing for newly created and updated parts.\nLead coordination with external auditors to efficiently resolve costing questions and issues.\nSupport month-end close activities and related reporting.\nAssist the VP of Finance, Controller, and Assistant Controller in preparing management reports and deliverables for the corporate office.\nThese duties are representative of the position and are not intended to be a comprehensive list of all responsibilities.
