Coordinates schedules and workflow for the team who repairs and conducts preventative maintenance activities throughout the facility on production equipment and peripheral devices. Supervises day-to-day work of maintenance employees. Manage vendor relationships and support Facilities Department as needed. Ensures compliance with OSHA regulations.Duties/ Responsibilities:\nOversee the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department.\n\nEvaluates production equipment or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed.\n\nAssesses production equipment to plan work assignments and project schedules.\n\nDevelop maintenance procedures and schedules as necessary.\n\nEnsures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner.\n\nAssists with departmental budget estimates and costs of specific repair projects.\n\nDevelops and maintains preventative maintenance schedule in collaboration with operations staff.\n\nDevelops and maintains critical spare parts lists and inventory levels of those parts to avoid unscheduled downtime.\n\nTracks all maintenance activities through the maintenance management program.\n\nSupport the implementation and generation of Capital Expense requests by the use of maintenance data.\n\nSustain equipment documentation including electrical and mechanical systems. Ensure updates are made to keep all documents current.\n\nManagerial Responsibilities:\nHires and trains maintenance department staff.\n\nOrganizes and oversees the schedules and work of maintenance staff.\n\nConducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.\n\nHelps to develop, coach and train staff.\n\nHandles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.\n\nEnsures that there is 24/7 maintenance coverage of operations within the facility.\n\nPerforms other related duties as assigned.\n\nEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE QUALIFICATIONS\nEducation and Experience:\nEngineering degree preferred or 10 years of experience as a Maintenance Supervisor. Electrical engineering preferred.\n\nAt least 5 years managing employees is required.\n\n5 years’ experience programing and supervising PLC and motor drive systems\n\nRequired Skills/Abilities:\nExtensive knowledge of large manufacturing equipment.\n\nExtensive knowledge of Facility related systems.\n\nWire & Cable experience a plus.\n\nAbility to read and understand mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics.\n\nKnowledge and understanding of PLC’s and large Hp AC and DC drives and motors\n\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills.\n\nAbility to identify issues and determine repairs that are needed.\n\nAbility to plan maintenance schedules for production systems.\n\nExcellent management and supervisory skills.\n\nProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.\n\nExperience with 2D & 3D CAD a plus\n\nProject Management experience\n\nFollowing receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processesas permitted or required by applicable law.\nWe are an equal opportunity employer, and all applicants will be considered for employment without attention to their membership in any protected class.
