This is a hands on role that may require active participation in daily production activities while providing leadership and guidance to the team. Duties may vary based on business needs.Leadership & Support\nProvide direction and support to second-shift production employees.\nAssign tasks and monitor workflow to help meet production goals.\nPromote a positive, safe, and productive work environment.\nProvide basic coaching, guidance, and on-the-job support.\nAddress employee concerns and escalate issues to management as appropriate.\nMonitor attendance, punctuality, and adherence to company policies.\nAssist with onboarding and training new employees.\nProduction Operations\nOperate manufacturing equipment as needed.\nFill in for absent employees and support bottleneck operations.\nMonitor production schedules and adjust priorities as directed.\nTroubleshoot basic equipment or process issues.\nMaintain production records and communicate shift updates.\nSafety & Quality\nSupport enforcement of safety rules and company procedures.\nConduct regular safety observations and report unsafe conditions.\nEnsure products meet quality standards and specifications.\nDocument production, quality, or safety concerns.\nParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives.\nCommunication\nServe as a point of contact for second-shift operational issues.\nCommunicate production performance, staffing concerns, and equipment issues to management.\nParticipate in meetings and provide shift updates as requested.\nEducation and Experience:\nPrior manufacturing experience required.\nPrevious leadership or lead experience preferred.\nStrong understanding of production processes and safety practices.\nKnowledge and Skills:\nAbility to operate production equipment.\nBasic troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.\nAbility to lead by example in a hands-on environment.\nAbility to read and write clearly.\nAbility to read job specifications.\nAbility to organize work efficiently.\nAbility to communicate with all levels of employees.\nMust be able to perform basic arithmetic, statistics, and other specific mathematical applications.\nBasic knowledge of machines and tools, including the designs, uses, and basic maintenance.\nBasic knowledge of principles and processes for providing customers with specific requirements and specifications.\nMust be able to multi-task, follow priorities given, and have strong troubleshooting techniques.\nSelf-starter; ability to work with minimal supervision.\nStrong housekeeping practices and organizational skills desired.\nWorking Conditions:\nManufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.\nAbility to work in a manufacturing environment.\nAbility to follow safety guidelines and wear required PPE.\nAbility to work long hours while standing and operating machinery.\nAbility to move objects and materials of at least 50lbs.\nFollowing receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processesas permitted or required by applicable law.\nWe are an equal opportunity employer, and all applicants will be considered for employment without attention to their membership in any protected class.
