Be part of a company where your work supports a mission that makes a difference-apply today!\nAssembly & Test Technician I (Chaska, MN)\nPosition Profile:\nThe Assembly & Test Technician is responsible for processing/assembling electromechanical products for Power and Actuation Systems brushless dc motor applications. This role conducts and assists in the assembly and test of production hardware and their subassemblies, in accordance with mechanical drawings, work instructions, routings, and other written and/or verbal specifications. The Tech will also be actively involved in soldering, winding, bonding, crimping, assembly, identification of the hardware before presentation to Final Inspection. This individual is responsible to record work completed for the document package in accordance with Marotta processes and procedures.\nMinimum Required Qualifications:\nHigh School Diploma, or equivalent\nDemonstrated mechanical/technical aptitude and abilities to conduct functional tests\nDemonstrate the ability to understand and work with the blueprint drawings\nDetail-oriented, with ability to work in a fast paced environment and follow procedures\nEffective verbal/written communication skills required for interacting with all levels of personnel within the organization\nComputer literate, with MS Office experience and basic PC skills\nMust be a US Citizen\nEssential or Primary / Key Responsibilities :\nComplete work as directed, in compliance with technical specifications and regulatory requirements including mil-specs\nPrimary duty is to ensure that products perform their proposed functions in a satisfactory manner\nRead, interpret documents (i.e. procedures, schematics/technical drawings, etc.) and use necessary measuring devices/equipment to confirm tooling/fixturing geometries and dimensions, as directed\nSolder, crimp and assemble critical electronic systems\nOperate in accordance to Company ESD (electro static discharge) policies \nSetup and operate tools required for assembly including, but not limited to; standard hand tools, load testing devices, micrometers, depth mics, calipers and microscopes\nSetup and operate equipment required for building and testing including, but not limited to; multimeters, ohmmeters, voltmeters, torque wrenches, dynamometers, load cells, etc.\nAssist with testing equipment maintenance and/or repair\nConduct function testing, troubleshoot, rework, and document results fully and accurately\nMaintain accurate parts and part count and documentation for each job\nIdentify causes for test failures and perform requested rework with limited supervision. Participate in corrective action resolution.\nDocument and support Lean ideas to improve the efficiencies of the company\nAssist in packaging hardware in accordance to ESD procedures\nMaintain all hand tools in clean working condition\nNotify supervisor of any equipment that requires repair\nProperly handle and dispose of chemicals used, utilizing proper PPE (as required)\nIdentify any routings discrepancy and notify supervisor so changes can be made, if necessary\nPerform other job duties as requested, directed or assigned\nAdditional Duties / Responsibilities:\nAbide by all safety, quality, housekeeping and company policies/procedures to ensure compliance to all regulatory and internal system requirements. \nActively participate in team meetings, improvement initiatives/programs, etc. and support actions to drive company initiatives/goals\nContribute to a positive and cooperative work environment through effective communication at all levels internal and external to the organization\nConsistently demonstrate commitment to company values\nKeep management informed of area activities and of any significant problems.\nAssume responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.\nEnsure that work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.\nComplete special projects and miscellaneous assignments as required.\nWork Environment :\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to conditions typical of a manufacturing/machine shop environment, including, but not limited to: fluids, fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, noise and vibration\nThis position entails constant exposure to abrasive chemicals\nThis job interacts both in a professional office environment and a manufacturing/machine shop environment. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, as well as environments inclusive of the appropriate eye, hearing and foot protection (as required).\nTemperature of work environment may be affected by outside/external temperatures, machining processes, etc.\nThis is a full-time position.
