Be part of a company where your work supports a mission that makes a difference-apply today!\nControl Systems Engineer\n(Power & Actuation Systems)\nJob Summary of the Position:\nThe Control Systems Engineer is responsible for systems engineering work products including system performance analysis, development of simulation models and associated documentation. This work is driven by customer performance-based requirements for electromechanical actuation systems. The work products will be produced and maintained in a reasonable time frame in accordance with budgeted hours and schedule. The engineer shall promptly alert management (program manager) in the event the engineer predicts a budget or schedule over-run. Continuous team improvement to increase work efficiency and work product accuracy. The engineer shall enlist the help of other disciplines and departments when necessary, such as program management, production, supply chain, quality and finance.\nEssential job functions and responsibilities:\nAnalyze and perform system simulations and modeling in MATLAB. \nPerform and complete SDRLs and other documents regarding System modeling, Plans, and other related systems engineering deliverables. \nEnsure accuracy of engineering SDRLs by review and commenting. \nCommunicate technical and schedule problems, in a timely manner, to Engineering Manager / Director, Contracts Administrator, and Program Manager when applicable. \nManage all duties according to company and industry standards. \nQualifications, Knowledge, and Skills Required:\nB.S. Engineering is required \nExperience with MATLAB Simulink modeling and simulation. \nSystems modeling & simulation experience \nExperience in mechanical, electrical, software or applicable systems engineering \nExcellent verbal/written communication skills required for multi-faceted interactions with all levels of personnel within the organization, as well as outside agents, including but not limited to; vendors, suppliers, customers, potential job candidates, etc. \nHighly computer literate, with MS Office/PC expertise, and demonstrated experience with applicable systems, programs, equipment, etc. \nMust be a US Citizen. \nVerbal and written communication skills. \nInterpersonal and customer service skills. \nSales and customer service skills. \nOrganizational skills and attention to detail. \nTime management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. \nAnalytical and problem-solving skills. \nSupervisory and leadership skills. \nAbility to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. \nAbility to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. \nProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. \nWork Environment:\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to conditions typical of a manufacturing/machine shop environment, including, but not limited to fluids, fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, noise and vibration \nThis job interacts both in a professional office environment and a manufacturing/machine shop environment. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers/scanners/copier machine, as well as environments inclusive of the appropriate eye, hearing and foot protection (as required). \nTemperature of work environment may be affected by outside/external temperatures, machining processes, etc. \nSome travel may be required for this position (5-10%) \nFull time position \nPhysical Requirements:\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. \nThe employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, and to use hands to finger, handle or feel. \nSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. \nThe employee is regularly required to stand at length (7-8 hours, daily), walk consistently, stoop, bend, turn, balance, and/or crouch, and move about the facility. \nThis position requires the ability to skillfully use measuring instruments, hand, and power tools \nThe employee may be required to lift, push, pull and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds \nThis position is at our Parsippany NJ office location.\nPay Range: $90,000 - $140,000/year\nMany of our contracts require proof that you are a U.S. citizen and/or that an export license has been obtained for employees who are citizens of certain countries.
