Be part of a company where your work supports a mission that makes a difference-apply today!\nElectrical Engineering Intern (Summer 2027)\nWe are seeking enthusiastic students to join our Summer 2027 engineering internship program. Interns will have the opportunity to experience a comprehensive learning experience, combining hands-on work, mentorship, and professional development. Interns will apply their knowledge and grow their skills while working closely with Marotta team members to complete a summer project with the unique opportunity to present their project and internship experience to senior leadership. Interns also have the opportunity to network with other interns and employees through optional engagement and voluntary events.\nOur 10 weeks internship program is available with various engineering teams across the company, including design, manufacturing, operations, and systems.\nResponsibilities:\nDesign and analyze analog/digital power electronics including conversion, distribution, and control circuits and devices. \nWrite procedures, test reports, and other technical documents. \nProduct specification review and compliance analysis. \nCreate training documents with verification tests. \nParticipate in selected Design Reviews to help present design parameters. \nPerform basic trigonometry and solid geometry calculations, when needed. \nDesign electronic circuits or circuit card assemblies. \nAnalyze circuit card designs under flight conditions. \nHands-on support of development hardware testing. \nAssist in release of drawings for development hardware. \nSupport the operations team in improvements to low-rate and mature product lines. \nWork with other engineers in a team environment.\nRequired Qualifications :\nStrong interest in Aerospace design. \nCAD skills desired. \nExcellent grades, especially in core engineering courses. \nMust work precisely, accurately, and with close attention to all details. \nHigh level of system aptitude and knowledge. \nAdvanced organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. \nExperience with hardware engineering tools (e.g. schematic capture, Gerber design viewers). \nWorking knowledge of circuit and logic analysis, controls, and finite element analysis packages. \nBasic proficiency in operation of electronics lab bench test equipment. \nMust be a US Citizen\nMust be enrolled in a bachelor’s degree or graduate program by the start of employment.\nEducation:\nHigh school thru post undergraduate degree students are encouraged to apply - Electrical Engineering or equivalent.\nWork Environment:\nThis job interacts both in a professional office environment and a manufacturing/machine shop environment. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, as well as environments inclusive of the appropriate eye, hearing and foot protection (as required).\nPhysical Requirements:\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, talk and hear.\nThe Engineering Intern is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, and to use hands to finger, handle or feel\nThe Engineering Intern is frequently required to sit at length, stand, walk, and move about the facility.\nThe Engineering Intern may be required to lift and/or move items weighing up to 20 pounds\nThis position will be on-site at our Parsippany, NJ office location.\nPay Range: $18 - $24/hr\nRelocation assistance will not be provided.\nMany of our contracts require proof that you are a U.S. citizen and/or that an export license has been obtained for employees who are citizens of certain countries.
