Be part of a company where your work supports a mission that makes a difference-apply today!\nInventory Specialist\nPosition Profile:\nPrimarily responsible for the timely handling and entry of receipt data and proper application of marking specifications for all Raw Material items coming into the facility, as well as the accurate execution of the “Cutting” operation for work orders before moving on to the shop floor. Provides the single point of contact for all Raw Material issues and follows established procedures and ensures a standardized approach is properly understood and followed. Will strive to maintain a clean environment and clear visual workflow representing the Raw Material area.\nDemonstrated Corporate Competencies:\nInnovative\nCompliance-Focused\nCustomer-Focused\nRigorous\nAgile\nRapid\nSteadfast\nCollaborative\nEthical\nFiscally Responsible\nMinimum Required Qualifications:\nHigh School diploma or equivalent GED\nBasic math skills and the ability to use a calculator\nFamiliar with work orders and shop paperwork\nEffective verbal/written communication skills required for multi-faceted interactions with all levels of personnel within the organization\nComputer literate, with MS Office/PC experience\nEssential or Primary / Key Responsibilities:\nReceive, track, and distribute materials and supplies,\nPrepare variety of routine administrative paperwork\nRead, sort, check, count, and verify numbers.\nEnter materials from internal and external locations into stock and enter into computerized records system.\nAssign primary stock locations as necessary.\nPull/pick materials (stocked items) for work orders.\nSafe operation and use of Hem Saw, Chop Saw, Belt Sander, and various cutting and hand tools\nSafe operation and use of fork lift, overhead crane, pallet jack, and lift table\nMaintain accurate counts and inventory records \nDistribute and perform material handling duties\nAdditional Duties / Responsibilities :\nAbide by all safety, quality, housekeeping and company policies/procedures to ensure compliance to all regulatory and internal system requirements. \nActively participate in team meetings, improvement initiatives/programs, etc. and support actions to drive company initiatives/goals\nContribute to a positive and cooperative work environment through effective communication at all levels internal and external to the organization\nConsistently demonstrate commitment to company values\nKeep management informed of area activities and of any significant problems.\nAssume responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.\nEnsure that work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.\nComplete special projects and miscellaneous assignments as required.\nWork Environment:\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to conditions typical of a manufacturing/shipping & receiving environment, including, but not limited to: fluids, fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, noise and vibration\nThis job interacts both in a professional office environment and a manufacturing/machine shop environment. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, as well as environments inclusive of the appropriate eye, hearing and foot protection (as required).\nTemperature of work environment may be affected by outside/external temperatures, machining processes, etc.\nThis is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are 8 hours, Monday through Friday. Overtime and weekend work are required, as job duties demand.\nNo travel is expected for this position.\nPhysical Requirements:\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
