Be part of a company where your work supports a mission that makes a difference-apply today!\nPlanner II (Commercial Space Systems)\nPosition Profile:\nThis position is responsible for all tasks relative to the planning and scheduling of materials and services that are required to support production and development work orders. These activities include, but are not limited to, managing work orders to support MRP and non MRP requirements, product development, follow through on all non­conforming material matters and the timely and accurate processing, follow up, rescheduling of all work orders and system maintenance.\nMinimum Required Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree is preferred\nMinimum 4 years planning/scheduling in fast pace mixed product manufacturing\nExperience with supporting production cells, Kanban replenishment (preferred)\nKnowledge of LEAN Manufacturing principles, KANBAN inventory management (preferred)\nProcessing of engineering change notifications\nWorking knowledge of MRP systems, planning and scheduling activities\nExcellent verbal/written communication skills required for multi-faceted interactions with all levels of personnel within the organization, as well as any and all outside agents, including but not limited to; vendors, suppliers, customers, etc.\nStrong computer literacy, with MS Office/PC expertise, and demonstrated experience with applicable systems, programs, equipment, etc.\nMust be a US Citizen\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with Epicor ERP Software.\nEssential or Primary / Key Responsibilities:\nPlan and schedule work orders\nRelease requisitions to purchasing on a timely basis\nManage work order material flow from inception through completion\nManage component shortages to resolution\nWork closely with all functional areas of the business.\nPerform planning and production tasks, anticipate program needs, and expedite material and tool requirements for production, manufacturing and assembly operations.\nResponsible for developing, coordinating and communicating the daily production schedule including the creation and release of work orders.\nSchedule production factoring in work orders, maintenance, new product development, inventory availability and capacity planning.\nMeasure performance of all critical factors to ensure compliance to plans to include publishing of KPI’s.\nLead issue resolution when products are behind schedule or at risk of being behind schedule.\nOwn production orders from start to finish, recording time and output and troubleshooting any discrepancies immediately with a common goal of correcting the problems.\nEnsure accurate and timely completion of production orders.\nInterface with manufacturing, engineering, quality, purchasing and management to provide timely status of work products and / or problem identification and resolution.\nMaintain the ERP system integrity to drive material and production schedules and execute processes per requirements. Maintain ERP system parameters including material master data and performance criteria\nOwn customer service performance of assigned products and resources.\nManual planning outside of ERP\nAdditional Duties / Responsibilities:\nBring initiatives and activities to closure in a timely manner through effective interaction with individuals, both internal and external to the Marotta organization (as required).\nAbide by all safety, quality, housekeeping and company policies/procedures to ensure compliance to all regulatory and internal system requirements. \nContribute to a positive and cooperative work environment through effective communication at all levels internal and external to the organization\nActively participate in team meetings, improvement initiatives/programs, etc. and support actions to drive company initiatives/goals\nAssist in the training of personnel to perform required technical tasks (as directed)\nConsistently demonstrate commitment to company values\nKeep management informed of area activities and of any significant problems.\nAssume responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.\nEnsure that work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.\nComplete special projects and miscellaneous assignments as required.\nWork Environment:\nThis job interacts both in a professional office environment and a manufacturing/machine shop environment. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, as well as environments inclusive of the appropriate eye, hearing and foot protection (as required).\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to conditions typical of a manufacturing/machine shop environment, including, but not limited to: fluids, fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, noise and vibration\nTemperature of work environment may be affected by outside/external temperatures, machining processes, etc.\nThis is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are 10 hours, Monday through Thursday. Extra time and weekend work are required, as job duties demand.\nTravel is not expected for this position\nPhysical Requirements:\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
