Be part of a company where your work supports a mission that makes a difference-apply today!\nProgram Manager II (Space Systems)\nPosition Profile:\nProgram Manager leads multiple aerospace and military engineering and manufacturing IPD teams through design, development, qualification and LRIP production phases, acting as primary point of contact for customers for these phases. Program Managers perform project planning, progress measurement, scope control, and status reporting to executive management and customers. Someone in this role will carry out business development activities and coordinate initiatives across assigned market segments.\nMinimum Required Qualifications:\nPrevious experience in the Space industry preferred.\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent in an engineering, science, or business discipline.\n2 - 5 years’ relevant PM experience in aerospace and/or military mechanical and/or electrical component and/or systems engineering design, development, and manufacturing.\nUnderstanding of basic PM principles, such as those promoted by the Project Management Institute.\nExemplary verbal/written communication skills required for multi-faceted interactions with all levels of personnel within the organization, as well as any and all outside agents, including but not limited to; vendors, suppliers, customers, etc.\nHighly computer literate, with MS Office/PC expertise, and demonstrated experience with applicable systems, programs, equipment, etc.\nMust be a US Citizen\nEssential or Primary / Key Responsibilities:\nResponsible for:\nGrowth of commercial relationships with new private companies in the space-launcher market.\nNRE Cost, Design to Cost, and Schedule performance for assigned projects. (Shared with functional department leadership).\nCustomer satisfaction for assigned projects.\nCreation and release of project Work Breakdown Schedule.\nCreation and maintenance of project Integrated Master Schedule.\nFacilitating all IPD Team meetings with documentation of minutes and maintenance of Action Item Lists.\nReviewing and creating labor and material plans and cost reports.\nControl of project scope.\nResolution and coordination of project cost, schedule, and technical performance issues.\nEscalation of issues that cannot be resolved at the project team level.\nProject NRE expenditures to within 10% of BAC.\nOn-time delivery of major milestones to within 2 weeks of baseline.\nIdentifying opportunities to grow business content with associated project customers.\nIdentifying new or synergistic business opportunities in associated market segment.\nSupporting significant proposals with related PMO inputs. Scrubbing proposal Bases of Estimate.\nBe the voice of the customer within Marotta with the highest level of customer satisfaction.\nIdentify existing/evolving customer needs in order to expand current and new product offerings.\nMeeting or exceeding assigned sales targets/quotas to ensure company volume and profitability goals.\nEarly detection of risks.\nDemonstration of highest ethical standards.\n\nAdditional Duties / Responsibilities:\nBring initiatives and activities to closure in a timely manner through effective interaction with individuals, both internal and external to the Marotta organization (as required).\nMaintain and continue to elevate relationships with Business Development, Engineering, Operations, Customer Service and all other facets of the company.\nAbide by all safety, quality, housekeeping and company policies/procedures to ensure compliance to various regulatory and internal system requirements.\nContribute to a positive and cooperative work environment through effective communication at all levels internal and external to the organization.\nActively participate in team meetings, improvement initiatives/programs, etc. to provide constructive recommendations and initiate actions to support company initiatives/goals.\nConsistently demonstrate commitment to company values.\nKeep management informed of area activities and of any significant problems.\nAssume responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.\nEnsure that work area and work areas of direct reports are clean, secure, and well maintained.\nComplete special projects and miscellaneous assignments as required.\nWork Environment:\nThis job interacts both in a professional office environment and a manufacturing/machine shop environment. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, as well as environments inclusive of the appropriate eye, hearing and foot protection (as required).\nSome travel is expected for this position (15-20%).\nPhysical Requirements:\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, talk, and hear.\nThe employee is frequently required to reach and lift with hands and arms, and to use hands to finger, handle or feel.\nThe employee is regularly required to stand at length when necessary, sit, walk, bend, turn, etc., and move about the facility.\n The employee may be required to lift, push, pull and/or move items weighing up to 25 pounds (shipping, prep, and setup for trade shows, etc.)\nThis position is at our Parsippany NJ office location.\nPay Range: $130,000 - $170,000/year\nMany of our contracts require proof that you are a U.S. citizen and/or that an export license has been obtained for employees who are citizens of certain countries.
