Be part of a company where your work supports a mission that makes a difference-apply today!\nSenior Control Systems Engineer (Space Systems)\nOverview:\nThe Senior Control Systems Engineer is responsible for systems engineering work products such as systems engineering management plan, system architecture, requirement management, control system analysis and simulation models, and documents. The work products will be produced and maintained in a reasonable time frame in accordance with budgeted hours and schedule. The engineer shall promptly alert management (program manager) in the event the engineer predicts a budget or schedule overrun. Continuous team improvement to increase work efficiency and work product accuracy is required by the engineer, including mentoring and training of others. The engineer shall enlist the help of other disciplines and departments, when necessary, such as program management, production, supply chain, quality, and finance.\nEssential or Primary / Key Responsibilities:\nAnalyze and perform control system simulations in MATLAB on motor-operated valves, valve systems/manifolds, solenoid valve response times, etc.\nPerform and complete SDRLs and other documents related to System modeling, Plans, and other related systems engineering deliverables.\nEnsure accuracy of engineering SDRLs\nCommunicate technical and schedule problems, in a timely manner, to Engineering Manager / Director, Contracts Administrator, and Program Manager when applicable.\nManage all duties according to company and industry standards.\nMinimum Required Qualifications:\nB.S. in Engineering is required\n3+ years of experience with Matlab Simulink modeling and simulation.\nActuation and/or motor-operated systems modeling & simulation experience \n5+ years of experience in mechanical, electrical, software, or applicable systems engineering\nExcellent verbal/written communication skills required for multi-faceted interactions with all levels of personnel within the organization, as well as outside agents, including but not limited to: vendors, suppliers, customers, potential job candidates, etc.\nHighly computer literate, with MS Office/PC expertise, and demonstrated experience with applicable systems, programs, equipment, etc.\nMust be a US Citizen.\nPreferred Additional Qualifications:\nBrushless DC motor experience is a plus.\nKnowledge in electromechanical systems design is preferred.\nWork Environment:\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to conditions typical of a manufacturing/machine shop environment, including, but not limited to: fluids, fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, noise and vibration\nThis job interacts both in a professional office environment and a manufacturing/machine shop environment. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, as well as environments inclusive of the appropriate eye, hearing and foot protection (as required).\nPhysical Requirements:\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, talk and hear.\nThe Systems Engineer is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, and to use hands to finger, handle or feel\nThe employee is frequently required to sit at length, stand, walk, and move about the facility.\nThe Systems Engineer may be required to lift and/or move items weighing up to 20 pounds\nSome filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary\nThis position is at our Parsippany, NJ office location.\nPay Range: $110,000 - $130,000/year\nMany of our contracts require proof that you are a U.S. citizen and/or that an export license has been obtained for employees who are citizens of certain countries.
