  • Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing methods, operation sequences, test equipment, tooling, fixtures, and production processes.
  • Create, maintain, and refine detailed manufacturing documentation, including operation sheets, routers, set-up sheets, tooling sheets, and related work instructions.
  • Investigate, assess, and resolve production issues effectively and efficiently.
  • Participate in root cause investigations, troubleshooting activities, defect reduction efforts, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Implement process improvements to increase efficiency, improve yield, reduce defects, and support operational goals.
  • Design detailed assembly procedures, tooling, and test fixtures to support safe and efficient operations.
  • Assemble and test production hardware as needed.
  • Analyze equipment layout, workflow, assembly methods, and workforce utilization to maximize efficiency.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to tooling and fixture design, material selection, facility layout, cost estimates, DFM concepts, GD&T practices, documentation, performance metrics, and machine shop activities.
  • Generate procedures from applicable industry and aerospace specifications.
  • Communicate designs and technical requirements effectively with machinists, suppliers, internal teams, and external partners.
  • Work with suppliers and subcontracted service providers to procure necessary equipment and maintain equipment readiness.
  • Generate accurate estimates for set-up time, cycle time, materials, and other manufacturing requirements using cost-effective methods.
  • Define, monitor, and communicate performance metrics to management, and implement actions to resolve identified issues.
  • Facilitate training as needed to support a cross-trained workforce and operational objectives.
  • Support safe work practices, housekeeping standards, quality requirements, and company policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to a positive, cooperative, and safe work environment through effective communication at all levels of the organization.
  • Keep management informed of area activities, project status, and significant issues.
  • Complete special projects and additional assignments as required.

  • Senior-level production, manufacturing, or process engineering experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field required.
  • 7+ years of experience with the assembly, design, and implementation of precision devices.
  • Knowledge of electronics, test equipment, tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing processes.
  • Understanding of machining techniques, manufacturing documentation, routers, tooling sheets, and operational work instructions.
  • Experience applying Lean Manufacturing principles, root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement methods.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization and with external partners.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and applicable manufacturing, engineering, or business systems.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Work Environment
