Be part of a company where your work supports a mission that makes a difference-apply today!\nTechnical Director, Business Development - (Electronic Systems)\nPosition Profile:\nThe Technical Director role completes and contributes to the growth of the Electronic Systems group through the issuance and support of technical proposals, Marotta capability presentations and technical discussions. The Technical Director has extensive expertise in products and/or technologies in the Electronic Systems segments. and is responsible for technical support of the Business Development team. The role is also responsible for identifying and pursuing new customers and platforms for these products and/or technologies through proposal and presentation support.\nThis role is responsible for the technical support of the proposal Bid Manager and working with engineering as the voice of the customer during early opportunity development and discussions with the purpose of attaining an RFI and/or RFP.\nMinimum Required Qualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering\n5-7 years’ relevant work experience in high performance Electronic Systems in the Aerospace and Military industries and can be considered a subject matter expert in an area related to these products and technologies\nFamiliarity with government contractual procurement procedures, standards, and quality requirements\nExemplary verbal/written communication skills required for multi-faceted interactions with all levels of personnel within the organization, as well as all outside agents, including but not limited to vendors, suppliers, customers, potential job candidates, etc.\nHighly computer literate, with MS Office/PC expertise, and demonstrated experience with applicable systems, programs, equipment, etc.\nThe ability to achieve expert knowledge of the Marotta product portfolio and Tactical Systems engineering capabilities.\nConsiderable experience in the best practices in the design, development, fabrication test and transition to production of Electronic Systems.\nMust be a US Citizen\nEssential or Primary / Key Responsibilities:\nReview and assess compliance with the customer’s specifications and sub-level specifications. \nCoordinate with engineering on system level architecture and technical approach\nReview the Marotta Product Portfolio for potential of design re-use.\nResponsible for leading and constructing the technical proposal response consisting of:\nReview of the supplied customers Bid Instructions, if applicable\nIssuance of the proposal outline and base proposal than can be leveraged.\nAssignment of proposal section write up responsibilities and support the technical write up.\nCompletion of the technical response for customer submittal\nResponsible for initial business development customer discussions and presentation formulation for new opportunities.\nUpdate and maintain the Tactical CAS capabilities presentation.\nSupport technical capabilities discussions with the customer.\nCoordinate the creation of a preliminary bill of material in the business system and verifying its accuracy.\nAdditional Duties / Responsibilities:\nPosition may entail the roles and responsibilities of a Project Engineer; such roles include initial system sizing, working with design engineering on proposal design, support of small engineering activities and support of the Technical Road Map.\nAbide by all safety, quality, housekeeping and company policies/procedures to ensure compliance to all regulatory and internal system requirements.\nPromote and foster a positive and cooperative work environment through effective communication at all levels internal and external to the organization\nLead and actively participate in team meetings, improvement initiatives/programs, etc. to provide constructive recommendations and initiate actions to support company initiatives/goals\nConsistently demonstrate commitment to company values\nKeep management informed of area activities and support required, also any significant problems\nAssume responsibility for related duties as required or assigned\nComplete special projects and miscellaneous assignments as required\nWork Environment:\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to conditions typical of a manufacturing/machine shop environment, including, but not limited to: fluids, fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, noise and vibration\nThis job interacts both in a professional office environment and a manufacturing/machine shop environment. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, as well as environments inclusive of the appropriate eye, hearing and foot protection (as required).\nTravel potential up to 25% (National)\nPhysical Requirements:\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, talk and hear.\nThe employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, and to use hands to finger, handle or feel\nThe employee is frequently required to sit at length, stand, walk, and move about the facility.\nThe employee may be required to lift and/or move items weighing up to 20 pound\nThis position is at our Parsippany, NJ office location.\nSalary Range: $170,000 - $220,000 per year\nMany of our contracts require proof that you are a U.S. citizen and/or that an export license has been obtained for employees who are citizens of certain countries.
