We’d love for you to join us!\nLearn more about our Product and Engineering team\nThis position is for an existing vacancy.\nThe Impact You’ll Have\nDeveloping, managing and maintaining card network transactions at scale.\n\nCreating Digital Wallet Tokens via Apple Pay and Google Pay.\n\nBuilding out-of-this-world backend experiences for our customers, internal and external.\n\nGetting cards to customers faster.\n\nManaging chargebacks and disputes with Card Networks.\n\nFacilitating money transfer via ACH and through ATM networks.\n\nApplying APRs and fees to Credit customers.\n\nBuilding a world class 3DS Access Control System.\n\nIterating and innovating on ways to bring quality backend software from ideation to production faster.\n\nMay focus on DevOps and Infrastructure Engineering and provide expert guidance on operationalizing services and implementations of the cloud infrastructure necessary to meet goals, particularly as it relates to scaling, resilience, and global availability.\n\nArchitect, design and develop large, complex projects.\n\nCollaborate with other engineers to prioritize and ship features.\n\nPartner with Product Managers to scope and estimate new work.\n\nParticipate in on-call coverage.\n\nWho You Are\nYou bring 5+ years of experience in software, or data engineering, ideally in payments or financial services processing and are comfortable driving outcomes with limited direction\n\nA strong passion to write code with high quality and test coverage.\n\nExperience developing in Java and/or Python, however we welcome experience in other programming languages.\n\nProven track record designing, building, and scaling batch and streaming/event-driven data pipelines using technologies like Apache Spark or distributed query engines (Athena, Trino, Presto).\n\nHands-on experience implementing robust data lake solutions using formats like Iceberg or Delta Lake, ensuring high data reliability, schema integrity, and integration with distributed query engines.\n\nExperience making technical trade offs and navigating technical complexities.\n\nExperience mentoring other Engineers.\n\nDemonstrated ability to quickly identify root causes of production issues and recommend or implement improvements.\n\nThe ability to demonstrate humility, empathy, and to take constructive feedback positively.\n\nA desire to grow in your career, learn, share ideas and help others grow and learn.\n\nDemonstrated experience working productively on cross-functional teams and taking a collaborative, team oriented approach.\n\nNice-To-Haves\nExperience with payments or the FinTech space.\n\nExperience with Microservices.\n\nExperience with Java Spring Boot\n\nExperience with Airflow\n\nProduction experience with modern engineering and cloud tools.
