The role requires the ability to move between coding, system administration, deployment, and implementation based on business and technical requirements.\nThe ideal candidate is a practical problem-solver who can work independently, understand complex technical environments, and take ownership of solutions from development through deployment and ongoing support.\nKey Responsibilities\n1. Systems Engineering and Infrastructure\nConfigure, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux servers and application environments.\nManage cloud infrastructure, virtual machines, networking, DNS, firewalls, and SSL/TLS configurations.\nDiagnose system-level issues involving resource utilization, connectivity, permissions, and application availability.\nMaintain system reliability, performance, security, and operational stability.\nAutomate routine administrative and infrastructure tasks wherever possible.\n2. Software Development\nDevelop, maintain, and debug software using Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript.\nBuild backend services, REST APIs, scripts, and automation utilities.\nWork with databases, including PostgreSQL and MySQL, for application development and troubleshooting.\nUnderstand existing codebases, identify defects, implement fixes, and develop new functionality.\nWrite clean, maintainable, and testable code following established engineering practices.\n3. Deployment and DevOps\nDeploy and manage applications using Docker and container-based environments.\nConfigure and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.\nManage Git-based development workflows, application configurations, environment variables, and deployment processes.\nTroubleshoot build failures, runtime errors, failed deployments, and service interruptions.\nImplement monitoring, logging, backup, recovery, and operational procedures.\n4. System Integration and Forward Deployed Engineering\nTranslate business and operational requirements into practical technical solutions.\nIntegrate software applications with third-party APIs, databases, services, and external systems.\nConfigure and deploy solutions across different infrastructure and operating environments.\nWork directly with stakeholders to understand requirements, investigate issues, and validate implementations.\nAdapt existing software and develop supporting components to address real-world technical challenges.\nCollect implementation feedback and work with engineering teams to improve product functionality and reliability.\n5. Troubleshooting and Technical Ownership\nInvestigate and resolve issues across application, infrastructure, database, and network layers.\nPerform root-cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective actions.\nTake ownership of technical issues from initial investigation through resolution and verification.\nDocument system configurations, integrations, deployment procedures, and troubleshooting steps.\nIdentify opportunities to improve automation, maintainability, security, and system performance.\nRequired Skills and Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.\n3-5 years of relevant experience in systems engineering, software development, infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or a combination of these disciplines.\nStrong hands-on programming skills in Python or JavaScript/TypeScript.\nPractical experience administering and troubleshooting Linux environments.\nUnderstanding of backend applications, REST APIs, databases, and software integration.\nExperience with Docker, Git, and application deployment workflows.\nWorking knowledge of AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure.\nUnderstanding of networking fundamentals, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, ports, firewalls, and SSL/TLS.\nExperience with SQL databases, preferably PostgreSQL or MySQL.\nStrong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities.\nAbility to work independently, manage competing priorities, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nPreferred Skills\nExperience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.\nFamiliarity with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform or Ansible.\nExperience
