He needs to take charge of all engineering personnel on duty to control, operate, repair, maintain, monitor and record plant parameters of the Hotel. This includes making sure all Fire, life, and health & safety equipment, devices as well other hotel facilities are in good working condition.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :\nMaintains a high level of standard in performing his duties and responsibilities\nSupervises employees in his section for attendance at work and quality of job performance\nEnsures efficient, economical and sound operation of equipment under his jurisdiction, i.e. Boiler, Chiller, Emergency Generators, Fire Pumps, Kitchen, Refrigeration, HVAC/Laundry and the auxiliaries of these, etc.\nEnsures immediate provision of services necessary to guests and other operating departments.\nKeep updates of daily events, especially on Banquets and Guestroom status, giving emphasis to VIP's.\nCoordinates daily with Transcendent System, Housekeeping and Front Office for the readiness of the guest rooms.\nEnsures coordination with other operating departments in the implementation of repair and maintenance schedule.\nConducts daily briefings of his staff with emphasis on requirements of special functions and events and preparation of rooms for VIP's.\nPerforms daily rounds of inspection in the entire building\nReports immediately to his superior all defects and deficiencies noticed during inspection and commence the immediate rectification immediately.\nEnsures that there is no backlog in repair and maintenance activities scheduled within the day.\nFollows up strictly work completion of previous shift.\nInspects finished jobs and ensures that the quality aligns with Luxury hotel standards.\nEnsures close supervision to staff especially in the implementation of special tasks\nMaintains logbook of operations and activities with accurate time and details during his shifts.\nAllocates work effectively.\nEnsures daily inspection of all firefighting and safety equipment.\nSees to it that all his associates attend to, execute all the complaints/calls, and job requests from other departments pertaining to his area of concern.\nImplements preventive maintenance programs, energy conservation programs, safety programs, environmental and pollution control programs of the hotel.\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nEducation: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.\nRelated Work Experience: At least 2 years of related work experience.\nSupervisory Experience: At least 2 years of supervisory experience.\nAt Marriott International, we are dedicated to being an equal opportunity employer, welcoming all and providing access to opportunity.
