This role ensures the highest standard of deliverables by managing robust end-to-end testing strategies, fostering collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders, and advancing automation practices for scalable, secure, and reliable commerce solutions\n\nResponsibilities: \nLead and mentor quality engineering teams, overseeing quality assurance across all commerce tracks and ensuring the integrity and reliability of deliverables.\nDesign, implement, and optimise automation frameworks and test strategies for complex backend systems, REST APIs, Kafka-dependent applications, NoSQL document databases, and cloud-based deployments.\nValidate and automate test cases for systems leveraging event-driven architectures and cloud infrastructure (AWS or other providers).\nIntegrate test cases with CI and CD pipelines.\nCollaborate with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to align testing activities with release goals and business priorities.\nDrive continuous improvement in test processes, defect management, and automation coverage, proactively identifying and addressing gaps in test execution.\nFacilitate technical training and development for team members to elevate overall quality standards.\nCoordinate the scheduling and execution of testing and report errors and issues for resolution.\nContribute to the identification and ongoing monitoring of risks and concerns.\nReview and approve test scripts and automation flows, ensuring best practices are followed across all commerce initiatives.\n\nRequirements: \nMinimum of 4+ years of hands-on experience in automation scripting for large-scale applications.\nAt least 4+ years of experience working with backend systems, RESTful APIs, Web application testing and validating/automating test cases for applications dependent on Kafka event streaming.\nAt least 4+ years of experience in Spring Boot and Java application development and automation.\nPrior experience integrating automation test scripts with CI/CD pipelines.\nStrong expertise with SQL document databases and experience testing solutions deployed on AWS or other major cloud platforms.\nProven ability to manage distributed and offshore quality engineering teams.\nExcellent communication, organisational, and technical problem-solving skills.\nAt least 4+ years of cumulative experience with backend automation testing frameworks, including but not limited to Tricentis Tosca, Playwright.\n\nPreferred Qualifications: \nDemonstrated experience with Tricentis Tosca, Playwright.\nDemonstrated experience with Springboot and
