The Manager will directly oversee the order processing and shipments of all direct-to-consumer D-Commerce and third-party customer orders.\nResults-oriented manager will drive activities to provide superior guest and customer service, highest quality order preparation, efficient order management, timely shipment and increased customer satisfaction metrics working with Customers, Sales and Supply.\nThe Associate will lead a team of exempt and non-exempt (50+ in total seasonally). In this role, the associate will also be responsible in optimizing internal business processes, select co-packing of finished goods, enabling technologies, and driving Associate engagement.\nWhat are we looking for?\nMinimum:\n3-5 years experience in Logistics or Supply Chain management or related field.\n2 years within leadership role (i.e. coaching, training, etc.)\nAbility to influence associates internally and externally.\nStrong analytical skills and proven ability to manage multiple projects and processes within a complex supply chain environment. \nDirect to consumer fulfillment and/or logistics and supply chain experience.\nContinuous improvement mindset - process optimization\nNegotiating skills. \nProblem solving skills. \nDiscretion to handle sensitive customer issues. \nExperience using SAP, FedEx, Amazon, Freight and Logistics, Quality Management Systems, Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety\nPreferred:\nBachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field\nContinuous Improvement and sustainable sourcing of supplies\nExperience in factory manufacturing and/or co-packing.\nWhat will be your key responsibilities?\nManage/oversee Master Data Specialist responsible for all Ethel M Chocolates, EGM site and American Heritage Chocolate item set-ups and maintenance \nHands on management/oversee Fulfillment Specialist and fulfillment Supervisor Associates \nLead, motivate, and develop a team of exempt and non-exempt associates to drive outstanding guest and customer service. \nDrive highest quality direct-to-consumer order preparation, including custom chocolate box assembly. \nLong term strategic planning of logistics to support digital and wholesale growth efficiently and profitably including physical infrastructure and additional points of distribution.\nComplete annual Quality (LR) audits with no major findings. \nSource, purchase and manage inventory of all supplies related to packing and shipping. \nBudget, plan, hire and manage seasonal contractors for peak holiday season. \nManage the build of subassemblies for the retail business, including bundles and select finished goods.\nManage the execution of custom orders for B2B and key internal stakeholders. \nManage third-party retail orders, freight quotes and logistics for large orders within budget. \nShare results and other key performance indicators (KPI's) with Customer Logistics Managers and sales account teams on a periodic basis. \nManage (in collaboration with other functional areas) short supply situations and product allocation processes. \nMonitor and manage business and Associate performance metrics and progress against standards. \nProvide ongoing feedback and coaching to enhance Associate performance. \nCreate and support long-term development plans for all Associates to prepare individuals for new responsibilities and enhanced performance in their current responsibilities. \nWhat can you expect from Mars?\nWork with diverse and talented Associates, all guided by the Five Principles.\nJoin a purpose driven company, where we’re striving to build the world we want tomorrow, today.\nBest-in-class learning and development support from day one, including access to our in-house Mars University.\nAn industry competitive salary and benefits package, including company bonus.\nFind out more about what Mars can offer you by visiting our Global Careers site.\nThe base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, if eligible, including variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits.
