Mechanical Operators ensure efficiency, operational conformance, product quality and continuous improvement. Able to troubleshoot various competencies: Pneumatic, Basic Hydraulic, Automation, Machining, and Mechanical Systems on all Process and Packaging Equipment with minimal guidance. Partner with production operators to properly maintain and repair equipment in a fast paced, high production work environment while prioritizing multiple mechanical and administrative tasks.\nWhat are we looking for?\nMinimum Qualifications:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent.\nAbility to work a flexible schedule as needed to support production needs and to conduct multi-task work in a very fast paced work environment\nWillingness to develop required Technical Skills\nTechnical Degree/Trade Certification or 4-6 years equivalent work experience required\nPreferred Qualifications:\nAssociate's Degree in a Technical discipline.\nSuccessful completion of Mars Apprenticeship Program or Co-op. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Minimum:\nPossess a fundamental understanding of Pneumatic Schematics and Mechanical Drawings in order to solve problems in a timely manner at the component level on all assigned equipment; i.e. sorting systems and palletizing robots.\nPhysical Requirements:\nFrequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs.).\nFrequent pushing/pulling (50-200 lbs.).\nFrequent handling/gripping/bending/stooping.\nAbility to work at elevated heights off a ladder or platform, climb stairs, leaning over equipment.\nAbility to stand and / or work on feet for extended periods (minimum eight hours in one shift).\nWhat will be your key responsibilities?\nCapable of troubleshooting, repairing and overhauling equipment within close tolerances and mechanical problem-solving on process & packaging equipment.\nPerform Preventative Maintenance (PM's) on Process & Packaging Equipment with minimal guidance.\nSupport Operations in equipment setup, changeover and training of operators in Autonomous Maintenance (AM) activities.\nDocument Work Orders (WO) using Computerized Maintenance Management System (SAP-PPM Plant Maintenance).\nEffectively communicate with Operators, Peers, Supervisors and all levels of management on a daily basis.\nProvide enthusiastic support where needed and complete other duties as assigned by Team Leader.\nDemonstrate Engagement in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Theory and Concepts through participation in Pillar Teams, training fellow Technicians/Operators in Autonomous Maintenance (AM) activities to include conducting Breakdown Analysis (BDA’s). Training\nUnderstand and adhere to Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) Procedures, Confined Space Procedures and all other Plant Safety/Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements related to supporting machinery uptime.\nAble to assess equipment operating reliability and perform routine repairs, adjustments and malfunction troubleshooting\nAble to maintain accurate records of quality control checks, production numbers or waste performance.\nAble to operate a computer and utilize the basic standard desktop systems (LSS, PSL, MIS, SQCIS, etc.).\nUnderstands principles of inventory control. • Has
