Your primary responsibility will be to perform preventative maintenance on advanced manufacturing equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency. This role requires expertise in proactive equipment care and compliance with all regulatory standards, including USDA, OSHA, FDA, EPA, and local guidelines.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.\nPerform preventive maintenance tasks on manufacturing equipment, including assembly lines, conveyors, mixers, and ovens.\n\nCreate and follow detailed maintenance schedules to reduce unplanned downtime.\n\nConduct inspections to identify wear, potential failures, and areas needing improvement.\n\nEnsure compliance with safety and operational standards, including the proper use of PPE and safety protocols.\n\nMaintain detailed records of maintenance activities and update equipment logs.\n\nCoordinate and execute lubrication schedules using proper lubricants for specific equipment.\n\nPerform basic repairs and adjustments during inspections to keep equipment in optimal condition.\n\nTroubleshoot and recommend solutions for recurring issues or equipment upgrades.\n\nAssist in installing new equipment and integrating it into the preventive maintenance schedule.\n\nOperate and maintain material-handling equipment like forklifts and scissor lifts safely and efficiently.\n\nParticipate actively in team meetings, training sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\nExperience: 2+ years of experience in preventive maintenance within a manufacturing environment (food industry experience preferred).\n\nSkills: Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities, especially for high-speed production equipment.\n\nTechnical Knowledge: Proficiency in mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems, including control systems.\n\nTools: Familiarity with maintenance tools, including voltmeters, amp meters, and lubrication equipment.\n\nFlexibility: Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including weekends and occasional overtime.\n\nSafety First: Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.\n\nEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required.\n\nTechnical certification in industrial maintenance or a related field is a plus.\n\nHands-on experience with preventive maintenance strategies and equipment lifecycle management.\n\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job.
