As the Site HSE Manager, you will play a pivotal role in this mission - setting the site's HSE strategy and driving the critical programs that mitigate risks and ensure a safe, sustainable workplace.\nReporting directly to the Site Manager, you will be a key member of the Site Leadership Team, holding overall responsibility for the strategic direction and daily management of Health, Safety, and Environment at the facility.\nIn this role, you won't work in a silo. You will partner with fellow leadership team members to align HSE goals with broader business objectives, while collaborating closely with Operations, Project Engineering, and Occupational Health & Wellness teams. To ensure your success, you will be fully supported by the Mars Regional HSE network as well as trusted third-party experts.\nWhat would be your key responsibilities?\nCreate and effectively communicate the site's HSE strategy, vision, and key objectives.\nDevelop and deploy local HSE standards and procedures tailored to the site’s operations.\nEnsure full compliance with all relevant safety and environmental legislation, permits, and regulatory requirements.\nLead thorough investigations of HSE-related incidents, ensuring they drive to root cause and result in robust corrective actions to prevent recurrence.\nDrive timely resolution of non-conformities identified through internal audits or third-party inspections.\nLeverage a data-driven approach to prioritize HSE activities, mitigate risks, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.\nDeliver engaging training and coaching to ensure HSE expectations and best practices are fully understood and adopted across the site.\nProvide expert HSE technical guidance, acting as a key advisor during capital project reviews and change management processes.\nEquip and empower the Site Emergency Response Team with the necessary tools, skills, and scenarios to respond effectively to emergencies.\nManage and optimize the site HSE budget.\nOversee and execute the physical security requirements and protocols for the site.\nAct as the primary point of contact for regulatory safety inspectors, environmental officials, and external auditors.\nWhat are we looking for?\nEducation & Experience:\nProven track record of experience in a Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) leadership role within a manufacturing environment.\nUniversity degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, or a related technical field and officially recognized HSE qualifications/certifications.\nDeep understanding of local HSE legislation, environmental permits, and compliance standards.\nExperience in risk assessment methodologies, root cause analysis (RCA) of incidents, and implementing effective CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions).\nKey Skills & Competencies:\nStrategic & Analytical Thinking: Ability to translate corporate HSE standards into a concrete site strategy. You are a data-driven decision-maker who uses metrics to prioritize activities and drive continuous improvement.\nCrisis & Security Management: Experience in coordinating Emergency Response Teams (ERT) and managing physical security requirements for industrial sites.\nStakeholder Management: Proven experience acting as the primary point of contact for external authorities, safety/environmental inspectors, and auditors.\nFinancial Acumen: Practical experience in managing and optimizing departmental/site HSE budgets.\nLeadership & Soft Skills:\nAn Inspiring Communicator: You don't just enforce rules;
