This role will be responsible for leading data-driven strategies that drive Mars Petcare growth across Amazon and Chewy and expanding traditional category management beyond assortment, pricing, and promotions to develop actionable insights for the Pureplay sales team to execute in effort to gain share.\nWhat are we looking for?\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree\n4+ years category management or retail analytics experience (ecom analytics a plus), preferably in CPG\nExperience with NielsenIQ, Stackline, or market-data equivalent, and familiarity with digital shelf analytics platforms\nStrong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills\nComfort using imperfect data to make strategic recommendations\nPreferred Qualifications:\nHave strong functional/technical understanding of eCommerce fundamentals\nPrior and demonstrable experience building and executing omnichannel joint business plans\nPet Category Experience\nStrong bias for action and ability to thrive in ambiguity\nAdept at developing customer relationships (internal and external) and influencing action\nWhat would be your key responsibilities?\nInsights and Data Analytics\nBusiness Reviews: Synthesize disparate data streams across traditional, syndicated sources and digital shelf analytics into concise selling stories that improve discovery, conversion, basket size, trips, and category growth\nPureplay Score-carding: Monitor dollar share, search and traffic share, new item performance, and promotional presence to surface shifts and recommend action to improve PDP conversion drivers, such as pricing, relevant pack sizes, and compelling claims\nCategory Forecasting: Leverage multiple data sources, retailer filing reports, and industry trend articles to build and manage retailer-specific 3-year category forecasts and execute monthly reporting reviews to inform sales and share forecasts across brand technologies\nPureplay Measurement Capability: Co-develop scorecards and predictive models integrating traditional and digital shelf measures, search velocity, and subscription variables into repeatable reporting that measures performance, digital shelf impact, and retailer opportunity\nCustomer and Channel Strategy Development\nPureplay Execution: Ensure products are available, competitive, as measured by price/pack architecture and promotion, discoverable, accurately represented, and optimized for conversion\nCustomer Collaboration: Provide category input for customer meetings, joint business planning, category reviews, and retailer-specific growth plans\nCategory Visioning: Provide future-looking category thought leadership by anticipating shopper behavior, retailer and/or macro capabilities (e.g., fulfillment or agentic), and competitive activity to influence outer year growth plans\nCross-Functional Collaboration and Communication\nCross-Functional Digital Capability: Be an eCom Subject Matter Expert (SME) to cross-functional Product Growth Teams (PGT) to help build organizational digital category management best practices\nResearch and Insight Solutions: Partner with Insights team on retailer-specific research objectives and develop impactful category growth solutions supporting Mars and/or retailer strategic initiatives\nWhat can you expect from Mars?\nWork with over 150,000 diverse and talented Associates, all guided by The Five Principles.\nJoin a purpose driven company, where we are striving to build the world we want tomorrow, today.\nBest-in-class learning and development support from day one, including access to our in-house Mars University.\nAn industry competitive salary and benefits package, including company bonus.\nThe base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
