VCA Acacia Animal Hospital and Pet Resort is a beautiful, large modern hospital with a big all species boarding facility.\nWe have 6 doctors and specialists who work with our doctors to bring the best possible care to our patients. Our boarding and day camp facility is a very busy part of our practice with 15 to 40 day campers on any given day. We have experienced camp counselors who know\nhow to make camp fun for the dogs and safe at the same time.\nWe see dogs, cats, birds, bunnies and other assorted pocket pets. We would love to meet with you!\nWhy We Need You\nAs the face of VCA, the Client Service Representative sets the tone for the practice as we build and maintain each customer's trust and confidence in our abilities.The CSR is the pivot around which the hospital operates and is responsible for:\nCustomer service functions, including: greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms.\nScheduling and confirming appointments.\nPlacing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients.\nPresenting and explaining fees, including processing payments.\nRecommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions.\nAnswering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care (i.e., heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea & tick control).\nManaging medical records, charts, reports and correspondence.\nHospital maintenance (including removal of animal waste) and ensuring that facility is neat and clean at all times-both inside and outside.\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nAt least one year of proven past experience in hospital customer service\nPreferred prior Veterinary experience • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent • Excellent listening and communication skills • Compassion for pets and people-as well as awareness and understanding of others’ reactions • Proven decision-making skills to choose the most appropriate course of action • The ability to integrate new information into problem-solving • Proficiency in Microsoft Office • Willingness to work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends and holidays • The ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and be exposed to hazards associated with pets such as allergies, contagious diseases, noises, odors, bites, scratches, and animal waste\nWe offer competitive compensation and great benefits for eligible employees, including medical/dental, generous personal pet care discounts and more!\nCompensation: $16.75 - 18.00*\n* Pay dependent on experience\nAt VCA we are committed to diversity, equity and inclusion and want to be a place where a diverse mix of talented people want to come, stay and do their best work.
