Applicants should also be comfortable with a flexible schedule that may include evenings and some holidays.\nWhat You’ll Do\nAs a CSR, you will help create a welcoming and positive experience for both our clients and their pets. Responsibilities include:\nGreeting clients and pets and helping direct them throughout the hospital\nAnswering incoming phone calls in a friendly, professional, and timely manner\nScheduling and confirming appointments\nMaking outbound calls for follow-ups, reminders, and prospective clients\nChecking clients in and out and processing payments\nPresenting and explaining fees and available services\nHelping clients obtain medications, prescriptions, products, and services\nAnswering general questions about pet care, including topics such as flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and other non-medical needs\nManaging medical records, charts, reports, and correspondence\nCommunicating closely with doctors, technicians, assistants, and fellow CSRs to keep the day moving smoothly\nWhat We’re Looking For\nWe are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-focused environment and genuinely enjoys helping people.\nQualified candidates should have:\nAt least 1 year of customer service experience\nHigh School Diploma/GED or equivalent\nExcellent communication and listening skills\nStrong customer service and problem-solving skills\nCompassion for both pets and people\nThe ability to stay calm, organized, and professional during busy or emotional situations\nGood judgment and decision-making skills\nThe ability to learn new information, systems, and hospital procedures\nBasic proficiency with Microsoft Office\nDependability and strong attendance\nWeekend availability - required\nFlexibility to work some evenings and holidays as needed\nVeterinary or medical reception experience is a plus, but we are happy to consider candidates with strong customer service backgrounds who are excited to learn veterinary medicine.\nPhysical Requirements\nThis position may require the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
