It is preferred to have knowledge of veterinary terminology and experience in a veterinary facility.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\nCustomer service functions, including: greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms\nScheduling and confirming appointments\nPlacing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients\nPresenting and explaining fees, including processing payments\nCreating and presenting treatment plans based on the doctor's recommendations.\nAnswering questions regarding services and cost\nManaging medical records, charts, reports and correspondence QUALIFICATIONS:\nAt least one year of proven past experience helping clients in an animal hospital setting\nHigh School Diploma/GED or equivalent\nExcellent listening and communication skills\nCompassion for pets and people-as well as awareness and understanding of others’ reactions\nProven decision-making skills to choose the most appropriate course of action\nThe ability to integrate new information into problem-solving\nProficiency in Microsoft Office\nWillingness to work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends and holidays\nThe ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and be exposed to hazards associated with pets such as allergies, contagious diseases, noises, odors, bites, scratches, and animal waste\nIf you are a current associate, you need to apply through our internal career site.
