We are a six doctor, fast paced general medicine practice. We are located in the heart of Brookline, a mile from downtown Boston. The successful candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high quality veterinary medicine, patient care, and customer service. Applicant must be a reliable self-starter, motivated by a challenging, fast-paced environment, have a positive attitude, a friendly demeanor towards both animals and people, will be detail oriented, have the ability to multi-task and can demonstrate the importance and understanding of high quality customer service.\nSkills and Qualifications\nExcellent knowledge of veterinary client service; at least 2 years of experience in the veterinary field.\nStrong organizational skills.\nStrong client relations and interpersonal skills.\nIntermediate to expert computer skills.\nExcellent oral and written communication skills.\nSelf-starter and team player.\nThe ability to integrate new information into problem-solving\nHigh School Diploma/GED or equivalent\nThe ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and be exposed to hazards associated with pets such as allergies, contagious diseases, noises, odors, bites, scratches, and animal waste.\nCompassion for pets and people-as well as awareness and understanding of others’ reactions\nScheduling flexibility to include days, nights, weekends and holidays\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\nCustomer service functions, including: greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms\nScheduling and confirming appointments\nPlacing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients\nPresenting and explaining fees, including processing payments\nAnswering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care (i.e., heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea & tick control)\nManaging medical records, charts, reports and correspondence\nTriaging phone calls\nUnderstanding and entering vaccine information\nWAGE: $21.00-$24.00 depending on experience\nBENEFITS:\nWe offer competitive compensation along with a comprehensive benefits package, including, medical/dental/visionand paid vacation (for F/T employees only), 401(k), generous personal pet care discounts and more!
