We are looking for smiling faces with compassionate, exceptional and superior client service skills and with \"Can Do\" attitudes.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\nCustomer service functions, including: greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms\nScheduling and confirming appointments\nPlacing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients\nPresenting and explaining fees, including processing payments\nRecommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions\nAnswering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care (i.e., heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea & tick control)\nManaging electronic medical records, reports and correspondence. QUALIFICATIONS:\nAt least two year of proven past experience helping customers in a veterinary Hospital setting\nHigh School Diploma/GED or equivalent\nExcellent listening and communication skills\nCompassion for pets and people-as well as awareness and understanding of others’ reactions\nProven decision-making skills to choose the most appropriate course of action\nThe ability to integrate new information into problem-solving\nProficiency in Microsoft Office\nWillingness to work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends and holidays\nThe ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and be exposed to hazards associated with pets such as allergies, contagious diseases, noises, odors, bites, scratches, and animal waste\nBenefits:\nVCA Animal Hospitals offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including Medical/Dental/Vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, pet care discounts, paid vacation, holidays and sick days, health and well-being programs that provide resources and training.\nCompensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials.
