With offices across North America, we combine the personalized service model of a local consultant with the global resources of the world’s leading professional services firm, Marsh McLennan (NYSE: MMC).\nA day in the life.\nAccount Managers for Private Client Services (PCS) at Marsh McLennan Agency provide a high, professional standard of service to customers in their overall development and management of an assigned book of accounts. Serving as an advisor to clients, Account Managers consistently initiate contact with existing customers, identify needs and recommend appropriate coverages and products. In addition, Account Managers build relationships with customers and carrier underwriters to encourage growth and retention of the book of accounts. In this role, you would be an integral part of the PCS team, receiving on the job training and on-going support from management and team members.\nManage, retain, and grow assigned book of accounts by planning and carrying out daily responsibilities with minimal direction, using sound judgment and independent thinking\nPossess knowledge of carrier manuals, appetite, services, and coverage forms/products available from each of our carrier partners\nAdvise customers/prospects on the insurance policies/products/services available for protecting their financial assets\nResponsible for front-end underwriting of accounts to align the proper carrier and best solutions for the customer’s/prospect’s insurance needs\nProvide quotations, coverage summaries/comparisons, proposals and recommendations proposed\nResponsible for all customer communications, conflict resolution, and compliance on customer deliverables. Ensure customer or carrier conflicts are handled in an effective manner by identifying and implementing solutions as issues arise and informing the department director of any problems.\nResponsible for the proper documentation in the agency management system of all customer communications and the confidentiality of all customer documentation\nProvide periodic coverage reviews to address new/changing insurance needs of customers. Make customers aware of the services available in other departments within the agency\nOversee the processing of mail, renewals, new business, billing, cancellations, non-renewals, reinstatements, and other administrative functions carried out by associates and analysts\nOur future colleague.\nWe’d love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:\n5+ years of insurance industry experience with at least 3+ years spent working in Personal Lines, ideally in a brokerage environment\nStrong working knowledge of personal insurance coverages\nActive Property and Casualty insurance license\nEffective oral and written communication and relationship building skills essential\nProficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint\nExceptional time management and organization skills as well as strong attention to detail\nThese additional qualifications are a plus, but not required to apply:\nBachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Business Management, Finance or other relevant program\nExperience with Epic\nAssociate in General Insurance designation\nWe know there are excellent candidates who might not check all of these boxes. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
