Description:

The Accounting Operations Specialist is an experienced individual contributor who operates with minimal supervision and owns workstreams, projects, or end-to-end processes within Accounting Operations.

This role drives accurate execution, resolves complex issues through analysis and experience, influences operational practices, and partners effectively across stakeholders to strengthen outcomes and performance.

We will count on you to:

  • Work independently with minimal supervision by taking ownership of tasks, priorities, and deliverables; set clear goals and execute a plan to achieve them.
  • Own entire projects or processes within the job area, including developing plans, setting milestones, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely, successful outcomes.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and training to peers and more junior colleagues by sharing expertise, best practices, and insights (individual contributor role; not a people manager).
  • Communicate effectively within and outside the job function, including with external customers/vendors/stakeholders as applicable; share updates clearly and resolve inquiries professionally while maintaining positive working relationships.
  • Influence operational practices and procedures by presenting recommendations, promoting effective approaches, and collaborating with stakeholders to align practices across functions.
  • Solve difficult, multifaceted problems that require understanding a broader set of issues by gathering information, analyzing root causes and interdependencies, and applying critical thinking to develop solutions.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis using prior experience and scenario-based evaluation to assess impacts and determine the best path forward.
  • Drive to operational targets by aligning work to department goals, developing an execution plan, prioritizing activities, and monitoring results to ensure targets are met.
  • Contribute directly to department results by collaborating across teams, aligning efforts with stakeholders, and sharing knowledge/best practices to improve overall performance.

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related fields
  • 5+ years of professional experience in accounting or finance
  • Demonstrated experience in accounting operations/finance operations (or similar transaction-processing environment) with the ability to operate independently and deliver results with minimal supervision.
  • Proven ability to own and manage end-to-end processes or projects (planning, milestones, monitoring, delivery).
  • Strong analytical/problem-solving skills, including handling issues that span multiple stakeholders or specialties.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder partnering skills (internal and external as applicable).
  • Ability to influence operational-level practices and drive adoption of improved procedures.

What makes you stand out

  • Experience developing and implementing process improvements and monitoring effectiveness (e.g., measures/KPIs).
  • Experience training/coaching peers or junior colleagues in best practices and standard work.

Why join our team:
