This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.\nLead Specialist - Data Analytics & Insights\nWe will count on you to:\nSupporting Whitespace which is a fully digital e-trading platform used by Marsh, owned by Verisk, designed for the insurance and reinsurance market to facilitate the digital offering, negotiation, placement, and binding of contracts through a data-first approach that enhances operational efficiency, transparency, and scalability.\n\nWorking collaboratively with the Digital team to support and drive innovative business solutions and growth initiatives.\n\nDevelop and maintain front-end applications using Power Apps, ensuring a seamless user experience.\n\nUnderstand our business model to analyze data and provide actionable insights.\n\nCollaborate with colleagues across various levels to align analyses with business objectives.\n\nAssemble and process large datasets, identifying and implementing internal process improvements.\n\nGather and model data using Python to support strategic decision-making.\n\nCreate visually appealing dashboards using Power BI to effectively communicate insights.\n\nWhat you need to have:\nBachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science/Statistics/Mathematics/Economics/ Engineering discipline\n\n4 - 6 years of experience in BI and reporting - should have worked on Enterprise-wide reporting systems and built dashboards and reports from the ground up\n\nHands-on experience through internships or projects in app development using Power Apps.\n\nFamiliarity with data analysis and working with large datasets.\n\nProficiency in SQL and Python for data extraction and manipulation.\n\nStrong data visualization skills with experience in tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik Sense.\n\nExcellent problem-solving, critical-thinking, and communication skills.\n\nStrong attention to detail and the ability to work with complex data sets.\n\nTechnical Skills:\nData Engineering and Data transformation skills - SQL or Oracle\n\nData Visualization - Power BI is a must have, tableau or Qlik would be a good to have\n\nStrong exposure to and hands-on experience with Databricks on Azure and AWS cloud platforms, emphasizing data engineering and analytics capabilities.\n\nAbility to optimize data pipelines to perform complex data transformations\n\nPeople and Team:\nInstitutionalize the business and domain knowledge gained through Knowledge management principles and techniques\n\nBuild technical capability for self and the team starting with AWS data bricks and other cloud technology that will be required to deliver solutions\n\nSoft Skills:\nUnderstanding requirements, excellent communication skills and stakeholder management are crucial skills.\n\nAbility to communicate complex data in a simple and actionable way.\n\nWhat makes you stand out?\nBuilt reporting systems using cloud platforms like AWS or Azure\n\nFamiliarity with insurance terminology and digital trading platforms like Whitespace\n\nWhy join our team:\nWe help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work and supportive leaders.\n\nWe foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can work with talented colleagues to create new solutions and have impact for colleagues, clients and communities.\n\nOur scale enables us to provide a range of career opportunities, as well as benefits and rewards to enhance your well-being.\n\nMarsh (NYSE: MRSH) is a global leader in risk, reinsurance and capital, people and investments, and management consulting, advising clients in 130 countries.
