The role may represent Architecture in governance forums and deputize for the Head of Architecture when required.\nWe will count on you to:\nLead European enterprise architecture strategy for Marsh Risk and guide its execution across multiple concurrent projects and programs.\n\nAct asSolutions Architect for complex transformation initiatives:\nProvide decision-making leadership, resolve cross-team issues, and ensure architectural consistency across projects.\n\nLead/coordinate Solution Architects and influence delivery teams to implement architecture as designed.\n\nDevelop and maintainenterprise roadmaps aligned to business strategy, proactively managing platform/technology obsolescence and architectural risk.\n\nEnsure solutions leverage appropriate technology patterns and capabilities, including:\nPackaged/COTS solutions, SaaS platforms, common services, IT platforms, and cloud services (IaaS/PaaS)\n\nReusable components and shared capabilities where appropriate\n\nEnsure architecture addresses key dimensions and produces high-quality artifacts (ADDs / Agile equivalents), covering:\nConceptual and logical architecture\n\nData and integration models (including APIs/services)\n\nDeployment and support/operating models\n\nSecurity, resilience, and non-functional requirements as part of “secure-by-design”\n\nMaintain and govern theEnterprise Architecture repository and the architecture artifacts that underpin the enterprise.\n\nProvide guidance across architecture domains to Solution Architects and IT communities, supporting consistent solution design and delivery quality.\n\nDrive collaboration across IT teams to ensure theintegrity and security of architecture, flexibility of design, and quality of solutions.\n\nReview and approve architecture deliverables produced by peers; provide constructive feedback and ensure adherence to standards and guidelines.\n\nWork closely with vendors to evaluate products and capabilities and assure the quality of their solutions and deliverables.\n\nParticipate in and, when needed, lead/attend relevant governance bodies; deputize for the Head of Architecture as required.\n\nWhat you need to have:\nSignificant experience (typically10+ years) in systems design/solution architecture, with strongweb computing foundations and enterprise delivery exposure.\n\nDemonstrated success leading architecture across enterprise-scale applications/projects, including complex transformation programs.\n\nStrong experience producing architecture artifacts and communicating architecture clearly (logical component views, integration sequences/collaborations, deployment views).\n\nStrong understanding of SDLC and full lifecycle implementations across traditional and modern delivery methods.\n\nBroad technology experience across:\nCustom-built enterprise applications and packaged/COTS solutions\n\nSaaS platforms and cloud services (IaaS/PaaS)\n\nIntegration (application & data), APIs/services, XML/JSON/REST\n\nUML and architecture modeling\n\nDatabases (RDBMS and NoSQL concepts);
