With 200 offices across North America, we combine the personalized service model of a local consultant with the global resources of the world’s leading professional services firm, Marsh (NYSE: MRSH).\nApplicants must be within driving distance to our Ridgeland, MS office to be considered for this role and have the ability to commute to the office a minimum of three days per week.\nA day in the life.\nAs an Surety Client Manager, you will:\nDevelop and maintain relationships with clients, brokers, and other stakeholders in the surety industry.\nManage a portfolio of key accounts, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention.\nAssess client needs and provide tailored surety bond solutions, including contract bonds, commercial bonds, and other related products.\nPrepare and present proposals, including pricing and terms, to clients.\nCollaborate with underwriters to evaluate risk, negotiate terms, and secure bond approvals.\nMonitor and manage existing accounts, ensuring timely renewals and addressing any issues that arise.\nConduct regular reviews of client accounts to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.\nLead and mentor junior account managers and support staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.\nStay informed about industry trends, regulations, and competitive landscape to provide informed advice to clients.\nAssist in the development of marketing strategies to promote surety services.\nProvide training and support to junior staff as needed.\nPrepare and present reports and presentations to clients and internal stakeholders.\nMaintain proper communication and build effective relationships with clients and companies.\nAssist in gathering and organizing client information for bond requests and aid in the preparation of documentation for the underwriting process.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of bond requests.\nProvide administrative support, including maintaining client records and managing correspondence.\nAssist in monitoring bond portfolios and preparing status reports. \nParticipate in training programs to enhance knowledge and skills in surety bond management\nOur future colleague.\nWe’d love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:\nBachelor’s degree in finance, business, Risk Management, or a related field preferred.\nMinimum of 3 years of experience in surety, insurance, or a related field.\nStrong understanding of surety bonds and underwriting processes.\nProven track record of managing large accounts and driving revenue growth.\nExceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with CRM software.\nExperience in the construction and commercial surety sectors.\nStrong knowledge of customer relationships, agency, and learning management systems (CRM, AMS, LMS), such as\nSagitta, ImageRight, Applied/Epic, Salesforce preferred.\nProficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly MS PowerPoint and MS Excel. \nMust have Property & Casualty license\nProfessional designations are preferred, such as CPCU, AFSB, or similar\nWe know there are excellent candidates who might not check all of these boxes.
