We invest in our employees through training, development opportunities, collaboration, and a workplace culture built on respect and accountability.\nWhat You'll Do\nIn this role, you will:\nMaintain clean, safe, and healthy animal housing environments by cleaning, inspecting, and maintaining animal enclosures.\nMove and group animals as directed using proper animal handling techniques while monitoring and reporting animal health concerns.\nOperate feeding systems to provide dry feed for beagles and ferrets.\nFeed animals and ensure water systems are functioning properly.\nOperate feed vacuums and feed buggies to recycle and distribute feed.\nPrepare pens before and after cleaning activities.\nWash, sanitize, and rinse pens and animal buildings using pressure washers and cleaning equipment.\nSweep and wash floors in animal buildings using motorized sweepers and pressure washers.\nAssist with cleaning and sanitizing shipping crates as needed.\nEnsure all entry procedures and biosecurity requirements are followed.\nParticipate in ferret feeding responsibilities, including weekend wet feeding rotation duties.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nRequirements\nWhat You Bring\nRequired Experience\nAbility to effectively and consistently perform essential job tasks.\nAbility to safely operate sanitation equipment and cleaning tools.\nAbility to understand and follow cleaning, sanitation, and dilution procedures.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience working with animals, agriculture, sanitation, manufacturing, or related environments.\nExperience operating motorized equipment and cleaning systems.\nWhat Makes You Successful\nWe're looking for someone who:\nDemonstrates strong attention to detail and accountability.\nProduces high-quality work and takes pride in the results.\nWorks effectively both independently and as part of a team.\nFollows established cleaning, biosecurity, and animal handling procedures.\nDemonstrates enthusiasm, diligence, and ethical behavior.\nTakes responsibility for actions and seeks continuous improvement.\nCommunicates effectively and follows written and verbal instructions.\nSupports a culture of safety, respect, collaboration, and continuous improvement.\nWork Environment\nThis position may require:\nWorking in varying temperatures and animal care environments.\nPerforming physically demanding work, including lifting animals.\nWearing required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hearing protection, may be required.\nOperating motorized equipment, including feed buggies, sweepers, and sanitation equipment.\nWorking primarily on first shift with varying extended hours and occasional weekend work.\nSchedule & Compensation\nSchedule: 7am - 3:30pm Monday - Friday\nWeekend/On-Call Requirements: Participation in a rotating weekend schedule.\nPay Grade: N1\nPay Range: $17.50 - $22.92/hour\nAbout Marshall Farms Group, Ltd.\nWe support leading research organizations around the world through the animals and services we provide, and we are also a leading provider of pet ferrets.
