We invest in our employees through training, development opportunities, collaboration, and a workplace culture built on respect and accountability.\nWhat You'll Do\nIn this role, you will:\nProvide high-quality daily care and husbandry for minipigs.\nMaintain clean, sanitized, and biosecure animal housing and work areas.\nMove and handle animals safely and humanely using established procedures.\nMonitor animal health and promptly communicate observations to appropriate team members.\nSupport breeding and production activities, including breeding, farrowing, animal identification, routine health care, and shipment preparation.\nFeed animals and maintain accurate feeding and weight records.\nRecord production and animal care information using electronic record systems.\nClean and sanitize animal housing, equipment, and supplies using specialized cleaning equipment.\nFollow all biosecurity, animal welfare, and workplace safety procedures.\nAssist with additional responsibilities that support the success of the production team.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nRequirements\nRequired Experience\nExperience working with animals, agriculture, production, manufacturing, or a related hands-on environment preferred.\nAbility to maintain accurate records and follow established procedures.\nBasic computer skills for electronic recordkeeping and communication.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with livestock, animal husbandry, or animal care.\nExperience working in a biosecure, regulated, or production environment.\nWhat Makes You Successful\nWe're looking for someone who:\nTakes pride in producing high-quality work.\nDemonstrates compassion and respect for animal welfare.\nWorks well independently and as part of a team.\nPays close attention to detail and follows established procedures.\nLearns quickly and adapts to changing priorities.\nMaintains accurate records and communicates effectively.\nIs committed to workplace safety and biosecurity.\nBrings a positive attitude and a strong work ethic every day.\nSupports a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.\nWork Environment\nThis position may require:\nWorking in varying temperatures with regular animal interaction.\nPerforming physically active work, including lifting, moving, and handling animals.\nOperating cleaning and sanitation equipment.\nWearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).\nFollowing strict biosecurity, animal welfare, and workplace safety procedures.\nSchedule & Compensation\nSchedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.\nWeekend/On-Call Requirements: Participation in a rotating weekend schedule.\nPay Grade: B1\nPay Range: $19.50 - $29.25 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.\nAbout Marshall Farms Group, Ltd.\nWe support leading research organizations around the world through the animals and services we provide, and we are also a leading provider of pet ferrets.
