We're continually investing in our people, processes, and plants to ensure we push the boundaries within our sector.\nAs a result, we have a new opportunity for a Plant Manager to lead our team at our Bedford plant.\n\nSo, what’s the mission?\n You will lead all site production activities, compliance, and health and safety whilst developing a performance-driven culture emphasising ownership, accountability, transparency, and development of the facility and its people. You’ll engage the ‘hearts and minds' of the company’s employees to create and sustain a proactive culture in all disciplines across the site.\nYou’ll lead and manage site-based team members and need excellent communication and people management skills. Working closely with the National Operations Manager, you’ll implement a continuous improvement culture to ensure site KPIs are achieved.\n\nWhat are the mission-critical skills?\nExperience of operating in a manufacturing site with responsibility for a team\nExperience in maximising the potential of others including development and performance management\nDemonstrable experience of driving and improving site performance\nExcellent IT skills including MS package including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook\nExcellent verbal & written communication skills, both one-to-one and in a group setting\nExperience in implementing continuous improvement/lean manufacturing techniques e.g. 5s, DMAIC would be an advantage \nIOSH Managing Safely / NEBOSH General Certificate desirable\nWhy join Marshalls?\n Our colleagues have been at the heart of Marshalls for generations and will continue to be the driving force behind our success for generations to come.
