From maintenance, machining and installation to technical design, software development and project management, their expertise helps power our sites, develop customer solutions and support continuous improvement across the business.\nWe're looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join the team and play a key role in shaping innovative solutions and supporting our long-term success\n\nWhat's the mission?\n Working as part of our highly skilled Engineering team, you will ensure the continuous running of the production process by eliminating downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault finding and maintenance of equipment.\nYou’ll work on various different types of equipment including complex hydraulic, pneumatic, batching/mixing plant, conveyors, and electrical/electronic control systems, and will be responsible for carrying out a range of planned and reactive engineering activities on site. You will contribute to the overall safe operation of plant and equipment, safety, quality, waste, and OEE targets.\n\nWhat are the mission-critical skills?\nStrong Mechanical Engineering Skills/qualifications\nElectrical working knowledge and experience/qualifications would be an advantage.\nTime served/apprentice trained in a similar position, with recognised Mechanical qualifications.\nGood understanding of current environmental and health and safety issues and knowledge of regulatory requirements.\nExperience, understanding, and knowledge of the maintenance of a high-volume manufacturing plant and equipment. Including systems controlling hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors (belts, chain, rollers, bearings, gear boxes, motors etc.), and able to read technical drawings.\nExperience/Knowledge in electrical fault finding, defect rectification and PLC knowledge desirable.\nKnowledge of CMMS/ Computerised Maintenance Systems\nAbility to interrogate/understand maintenance problems to provide accurate plant condition information/recommendations including route cause analysis.\nExcellent communication skills, dealing with operatives, Team leaders from both maintenance and production.\nExperience using condition monitoring techniques such as vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasound, or oil analysis would be advantageous.\nWelding and fabrication experience would be beneficial.\nWhy join Marshalls?\n Our colleagues have been at the heart of Marshalls for generations and will continue to be the driving force behind our success for generations to come.
